Acogedora casa de campo en el centro de The Golden Circle

Una hermosa y acogedora casa de campo situada entre los dos lagos, Apavatn y Laugarvatn.
En la zona más cercana se encuentra la atracción turística más importante de Islandia, "The Golden Circle", con una de las paradas, Thingvellir, Patrimonio de la Humanidad, a solo 20 minutos en coche, y otras dos paradas, la famosa fuente termal Geysir y el Cascada de Gullfoss a menos de 60 minutos en coche. A 7 kilómetros se encuentra el antiguo pueblo de Laugarvatn, situado en el lago. Hogar del famoso baño de vapor natural Fontana.
A poca distancia en automóvil: numerosas piscinas de lujo al aire libre geotérmicas (spas) y campos de golf. A 15 kilómetros se encuentra Selfoss, la ciudad más grande del sur de Islandia. Allí puede hacer todas sus compras, ir a nadar o visitar cafés o restaurantes.
También encontrará tres de los lugares más destacados de los populares recorridos por la costa sur, Seljalandsfoss (86 km) - la cascada que puede caminar detrás, la majestuosa cascada Skógafoss (114 km), así como la playa negra en Reynisfjara cerca del pequeño pueblo Vík ( 145 km).

Gemütliches Cottages in guter Lage

Das Cottage hält alles bereit, was man für einen unbeschwerten Urlaub benötigt. Es befindet sich mitten in der Natur und bietet eine gute Ausgangslage für Tagesausflüge um den Golden Circle zu erkunden oder Ausflüge in Richtung Vik und Reykjavik zu unternehmen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Great stay in remote cottage!

Karl and his wife were very accommodating—there was a problem with the original property we booked with them, so they offered us a bigger and nicer cottage for the same price. It was in a very remote area, which we loved. Very cozy, and the hot tub was lovely. Communication was great as well. Thanks very much!!

Beautiful, cozy cottage

The property owners were amazing, and promptly responded to all communications. The cabin was cozy and beautiful, and was surrounded by numerous activities and sightseeing locations. We would definitely love to return!

This cozy, comfy cabin was absolutely perfect for our trip. The owners were helpful and accommodating. Evening soaks in the hot tub were our favorite. We'll seek this cabin out for our future visit for sure.

Petit chalet très confortable avec une bonne literie. Bien placé pour les visites classiques des environs. Très bon dialogue avec Karl. Le seul petit bémol sans importance…..faire à manger sur les plaques de cuisson s’avère long….très long. Je recommande cette mignonne location sans hésiter.

Lovely Place

It was clean and quaint, with a great location to use for visiting the Golden Circle. It was quiet but did not feel too isolated and had all the little amenities that made the stay comfortable. The hot water has a smell of sulphur because it is coming from a natural hot spring, so if you can handle that you will love the place!

Quite comfortable!

The cottage is well equipped, comfortable, and clean. Check-in was a little cumbersome because we needed to stop at the owner’s home to pick up the key and bedding. But it was a pleasant stay and convenient location.

Cozy Cottage

The cottage was the perfect home away from home! It was very clean and provided everything we needed for our visit. We even saw the northern lights from the hot tub! Karl had great communication and was the ideal host. If you are considering booking, we would highly recommend!

Sweet cottage

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. Very comfortable, in a great location to visit the Golden Circle and Southern Iceland. The cottage is very clean and organized and well equipped with thoughtful touches. Karl and Jona were very communicative hosts. We enjoyed having so much privacy with the location of the cottage, but we recommend picking up groceries before you head out here. We also recommend visiting the thermal baths at Fontana ( a 5 min drive). Much less crowded than the Blue Lagoon and a fraction of the price! We will definitely book this cottage again

Sweet little cabin

We had a really nice week in this property. Karl and Jona are very nice people and everything went very well. The location is really very good. Lots of sights in the immediate vicinity. After our exploration tours on the "Golden Circle" we always liked to come back here to relax in the hot tub...it takes a little getting used to that the hot water "smells" a bit (sulphur)... but it wasn't Problem. We can recommend the property unreservedly. Thanks again to Karl and Jona!

Perfect cozy cabin in Golden Circle

We so enjoyed our stay at Karl’s place. It was a perfect size for our family of six and we loved how well constructed and maintained we found this private little cabin in the Woods. We found it was stocked with everything that we needed and Karl went out of his way to provide detailed instructions and plan ahead for everything. The slight sulfur smell from the water honestly just added to the experience and charm. We felt like we got the authentic Icelandic / Golden Circle experience while staying here.

idyllischer Ort sehr ruhig im Zentrum Island

Sehr ruhig gelegenes Cottage für 4 Personen, hatte hier einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub mit der Familie. Im Cottage hat es an nichts gefehlt. Sehr genossen haben wir den das Grillen vor Ort und den täglichen Ausklang im Pool. Sehr schön war auch das Restaurant in der Nähe "Lindin" Die Ausflugsziele konnten zentral angefahren werden, sodass wir die touristischen Highlight vor den "Massen" erreicht haben und uns danach für die wirkliche Schönheit von Island kümmern konnten.
