  • Our home is perfect for a small group of friends or the whole family gathering. The house features all around mountain view, big hot tub on the patio and in the open living room there is a long table for the whole group to enjoy every meal of the day. The house is located within most of the main attractions of South Iceland like Þingvellir, Faxi waterfall, Efstidalur, Brúarfoss, Geysir and Gullfoss. Within 1 km - 100 km radius are Þjórsjárdalur, Landmannalaugar, Þórsmörk, Kjölur, Háifoss, Gjáin, Stöng, Hrunalaug, Þjófafoss, Hrunalaug, Brúarhlöð, Skógafoss, Gljúfrabúi, Hjálparfoss, Friðheimar greenhouse, Mika restaurant, Vínstofa Friðheima wine bar, Kerið crater and many more great exciting places to visit. We are located in Reykholt beautiful tiny village just 19/27 km from Geysir and Gullfoss so the surrounding is really peaceful and quiet.

Great visit for our large family

The hosts were incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived, even allowing us to check in a bit early. We appreciate their hospitality so much! Would definitely stay here again!

Family in Iceland

Location was great, central to what we wanted to visit in Iceland. Six bedrooms fit our family of 13 very well, kitchen and appliances were well stocked, and plenty of room to sit for meals and games.

Family get together at a great location with a helpful, responsive host.

A cook’s kitchen where several can work together. Bathrooms clean and nice for each bedroom to have its own. Check in easy. Beautiful house.

Icelandic Gem

This home allowed our 12 person family to enjoy our vacation in Iceland. The house was clean, well appointed, and welcoming. Our host was a pleasure to work with. The house was about 2 hours to Keflavik airport but conveniently located to many local attractions.

Wonderful Stay at the White House

From arrival to departure, everything was wonderful at this house. The hosts were great, and answered messages quickly. It is close to many sites that we wanted to see during our stay in Iceland. Overall, we had a great experience.

Wonderful and spacious home by the Golden Circle

We stayed at this property for 5 nights and it was a wonderful home away from home. Beautifully appointed and very comfortable for our group of 5 adults, with room to spare. Definitely could accommodate a larger party of 12-14. The owners were super communicative and responsive! I gladly recommend this place without any reservations.

Beautiful house

The house is beautiful and has beautiful views. It was stocked with basic essentials. The kids loved the chickens and we enjoyed the hot tub. The owners were accommodating and nice. We enjoyed our stay

Great house with a great location!

We stayed at this property with two families of 4, and it had everything we needed for a great week! Very clean and spacious, comfortable beds, tons of outdoor patio space, and close to so much. We did a thermal pool, hopped on a tour bus to a glacier, saw geysers, and waterfalls all less than an hour away. Would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to see all the great sights of Iceland, and come home to great comfort and ease.

Family Event

Excellent house with a lot of comfort and detail. Everything required is available. Very quiet, perfectly located for a week of sightseeing and tracking . Perfect space to join on a large table and retreat when desired.

Just fabulous

We were a group of 5 couples from Wales visiting Iceland for the first time.The White House is an amazing place to stay ,even better than it looks in the pictures It was warm, comfortable ,very well equipped and just a lovely place to stay.Its on the Golden Circle a short walk from the Tomato Farm ,which was a great place to experience and have a meal If you want to be sure if getting a table booked before you travel We were very lucky to get a table without booking .The host Agla was lovely and very responsive to messages .The hotel tub was really big and the temperature was just right I would highly recommend the White House and it's location.

Warm and Welcoming Home

From booking, pre arrival and during our stay, Agla was very helpful with information. The home has everything you need for a wonderful stay! The location is perfect for the Golden Circle Sites. Our group consisted of 6 adults and 1 teenager, we all had our own room and bathroom making it so nice to be able to all be ready at the same time. If we return, we will definitely rent this home again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

incredible house

We, a group of 10 friends, loved staying here! everything we could possibly need was available and questions were responded to really fast. The location is a great base from which to explore iceland, it seems quiet and like a very safe neighbourhood. There is also little light pollution, we saw the northern lights from the balcony and hot tub. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here!

Family outing

11 of us stayed at the house which more than met our needs. Communicating with our host was very easy and she was prompt with her replies. We had enough room so we could have our space or play games at the table. This was a very good find and highly recommended.

Wonderfully quaint large home

Home base for 14 travelers, Easy access right in the golden circle, very quiet location at the end of the street. Saw the northern lights from the back patio. All the accommodations you want for a weeks stay. One cautious note is the washer/ dryer takes a very long time ( this seems to be an Icelandic design) If we return we will likely come to this wonderful home!

Cozy, Comfortable, and Perfectly Located

Our family absolutely loved our stay at The Whitehouse in Iceland. The home was incredibly comfortable, spacious, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. From the cozy bedding to the well-equipped kitchen, it truly felt like a home away from home.The location was ideal for exploring the Golden Circle and surrounding sights, yet peaceful enough to relax and recharge at the end of the day. It was so nice to come back each evening and enjoy the hot tub while taking in the quiet beauty around us.The hosts were fantastic, very responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed before and during our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience.If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a welcoming place to stay with your family, we can’t recommend The Whitehouse enough. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

8 women on an adventure!

Everything about the White House was perfect. Everyone had there own space and bathroom!!!!!! The kitchen was stocked for everything we could possibly need to make fabulous meals!!! Clean, clean, clean !!!!!! Communication was always quick and informative!!

Great villa in the countryside

Overall great experience. The hosts are very communicative. The villa is clean and super cute. Only drawback is the hot tub only gets to Luke warm. We just couldn’t do it in 30 degree weather. The location is far from the city. This however is perfect if you are trying to see the northern lights. We got a wonderful view from the balcony.

The land of Unpronounceable names.

We booked the WH nearly a year ago. Agla & Karl could not be more perfect host. The WH surpassed every expectation. Never a question went unanswered and promptly! Agla suggested places to go, and places to eat. We were only 4 in our group so the house was oversized for our needs but we wanted that. If you’re planning an Icelantic adventure with a large group this is the house for you. Thank you again Agla & Karl.

Excellent place to stay with extended family with lots to do

We enjoyed a week in late September here with our children and grandchildren. We found it really spacious with plenty of room for the infants to move around. Self-catering was straightforward. We were really impressed at how many things there were to do and see within a 30min drive. The Tomato greenhouses at Frodheimar were a 10min walk and a great lunch - but do book ahead as it was really busy even in September. The Northern Lights were easily visible just by walking outside on clear nights
