Great Family Cabin

We loved the red white and blue decor and the personal family photos. It was just me and my 2 kids. This trip while my husband was hiking. And we played games and watched movies each night and enjoyed the hot tub. We seldom left the cabin. It had everything we needed and was in great condition.

Several things that didn’t work in cabin

Beautiful wonderful and awesome American Dream cabin perfect for its name!! Loved the location and the decor was outstanding! Your management team and the owners need to know several issues we had. The gas fireplace didn’t work as remote was missing. Also the large TV in living room didn’t work. They sent someone out but not till next day and very nice man came. Still no remote so he showed me manually how to work it. He actually found a connection to TV not plugged in and fixed it. So now all is good till last night when I guess gas fireplace ran out of gas as it quit working so I turned it off. That should not have happened! I am sure owners wouldn’t like to hear this. All in all had a fabulous time and loved the cabin and would stay there again. Just needed to bring this to your attention.

Absolutely needed.

I cannot express into words how wonderful the cabin was and how badly my wife and I needed a place just like it. After being deployed for three straight anniversaries we were final able to be together this year and everything was beyond perfect. The location on the mountain, the neighborhood, the coziness of the cabin, all it’s amenities, and the level of patriotism is unparalleled. We couldn’t have ask or needed anything more than this. We will be back for many years to come. Thank you so much for offering exactly what was needed.

31st Anniversary stay at The American Dream

This was a clean, spacious, comfortable and convenient cabin! Secluded, but close to town. We will definitely consider staying here again

First time in Blue Ridge

This cabin was the right choice for our first trip to Blue Ridge. So clean and homey. Close to downtown. Also! My girlfriend saw her first food lion so good for her!

Cute Homey Cabin

We had a great time at this cabin and would definitely go back with family. Loved the screen in porches and hot tub. Thought the beds were comfortable, water was hot, etc. The driveway is definitely better suited for an SUV or 4x4 vehicle, but we did manage to get my low profile Camry up and down ok. Close to local trails and downtown.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's a dated cabin in the woods. Dirty sky lights. Not a comfortable piece of furniture in the whole house. Beds are hard, chairs are all worn out. If wooden is your thing, you will love it. Hot tub is a nice feature and it is very serene and quiet. If you like Old Glory, you're gonna love this!Be careful how you park; we played Tetris to get out.

Reviewer Comments: This property is nicely located close to downtown but Poorly maintained, cluttered with decorative items everywhere your turned, yes a parent's nightmare knowing a $300 deposit is lurking in the back of your mind. The hot tub needed to be cleaned while we stayed, found medication and food from previous renters the gas in the grill lasted one night and NO space for your own dry goods, simply cluttered..

American Dream

Wonderful stay in the mountains, close to everything. Only one small thing, hot tub cannot go above 98 degrees, but we still enjoyed the jets. Would recommend to all!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We brought our family of 2 adults and 2 kids for a week long stay. The property was nice. My complaints would be that there was a lack of cooking ware and absolutely zero storage space for your own groceries. I wish the king bed upstairs could have been downstairs where the adults slept. Instead we slept on the full bed, which was extremely uncomfortable. But we loved the privacy of the "mancave" and easy access to the hot tub. I believe 103 was as hot as it got. The beach towel provided was a nice touch. Tip: bring all your toiletries and condiments. Ingles and cvs is very close. This cabin has nothing provided. And there are way too many notes and threats of additional charges if anything is dirty, missing, broken, etc. Dont rent out your cabin if you're so paranoid. We are grown adults and only need to be told once in an email. Perhaps they rented to incompetent messy people in the past and that's unfortunate.

We arrived on Sunday and needed to sign some papers at the cabin rental company on Monday morning. We found the cabin clean and comfortable but the sink in the master bath was stopped up. It did drain slowly at that point. By Saturday it was fully inoperable. We paid top dollar for poor service.

Reviewer Comments: This cabin was amazing except for the beds there are 3 beds and 1futon and they were all horrible but everything else is perfect the kitchen is well stocked the hot tub is amazing the water was always hot with only a few seconds wait time. One thing that was a concern of ours was that reading reviews on cabins as we browsed for ours was the use of security cameras. I understand that the owner has to protect there investment and that to me means cameras at entrances but that's all and this cabin was no exception there are no cameras that invaide your privacy. The road to the cabin is keep in great shape by the not too close neighbors giving you wonderful privacy. All in all I think this was great for our honeymoon

We had difficult time getting up the wet steep drive in our front wheel drive SUV which was a little scary but once we made it up it was worth the effort. The staff was quick to respond with concerns. We would definitely consider renting this cabin again but taking a different vehicle!!

Tastefully decorated, the cabin offers most everything a relaxing family would want. Centrally located to other mountain attractions- Elijay's Apples, Helen's Bavarian charm, fishing, even zip lining, this cabin puts you in place to explore or just chill. We had a great Christmas!
