I wish I could say that we absolutely loved this property, but I just can’t. When we arrived (an hour after check-in time), the “property manager” and “maintenance guy” were still there doing things around the cabin (fixing a window, laundry, fixing the arcade game, etc). They stayed until about an hour after we arrived. I didn’t get a good “vibe” from them from the beginning. The “property manager” stressed many times that I should contact her with any issues. My gut told me to contact the person on VRBO, which I’m glad I did. I explained to him our situation with them still being there when we arrived. The kitchen counters were not cleaned, the bathroom window was broken, many windows did not have curtains on them, the hot tub smelled like mold, and there was urine on one of the toilets. We also found a wallet and food receipt under the upstairs bathroom sink, which belonged to the maintenance guy. Upon speaking to the real property manager, he offered to have the cleaning person (lady who said she was the “property manager”) come and reclean the cabin. I declined this because we were already settled and unpacked. He did, however, refund our cleaning fee, which I appreciated. The cabin itself was beautiful and has lots of potential to be an excellent place to stay. But, for us, it just wasn’t the experience we had hoped for.
