Fantastic views, relaxing getaway
Knotty Bear cabin was a wonderful place to stay! On the outside, it has lovely views & great porches, and is far enough from the neighbors that residents have a sense of privacy. Inside, it's nicely arranged for a very comfortable stay. Luxurious linens and multiple cozy spots to sit made it very relaxing, and the hot tub was a great way to counter the chilly & rainy weather. An engraved Jack Daniels barrel made an amusing base for the dining area table. Bear decorations abound (which makes sense, given the cabin's name.)It was a short drive to Blue Ridge, GA, although we opted for the Lucius Rd route in and out so we could stay on paved roads. (The Maxwell Rd route had a few gravel & muddy areas where we had to avoid puddles & potholes from recent heavy rains.) The road was quite step in some spots, so shifting down into a lower gear was helpful. The views are wonderful! Unfortunately, we didn't have clear night skies to appreciate the stars. That's something to look forward to on a future trip.
