Toccoa Tree Lodge-When some things are just meant to be.

We arrived late at night after a long drive. Although the road to the house was narrow, dark and curvy, the home was beautifully lit and easy to access. Everything inside was just as described. We had firewood delivered ahead of time, a convenience to check off your list. With the no shoe policy, bring slippers to keep your tootsies warm. The treehouse is where we spent the majority of our time, building fires, disconnecting from day to day and enjoying our daughters play the baby grand piano. Our dog adjusted well, loved the hikes and napped on the bear skin in front of the fire. The IGA grocery store in McCaysville had all the necessities. Do yourself a favor and get the IGA frozen biscuits! The hike to and from the river was just enough to get the heart pumping. We booked (in advance) the scenic blue ridge railway, 2 hour trip, which was sufficient. We walked the charming town of Blue Ridge and enjoyed dinner at Black Sheep. Be sure to stop in Mercier Apple Orchard for a country experience. Overall, our stay was perfect! The view is peaceful, with mountains in the distance. The foosball table exposed family competition at its finest. Soaking in the hot tub on a cold night was magical. The 3 levels have individual master suites that provided privacy and luxury bedding. We looked at many homes on VRBO, but am so so grateful we landed on this one. Toccoa Tree lodge was just meant to be and our family will definitely be back! Thank you Brendon and Cristina!

Beware of a dishonest owner.

The house is lovely. However, the owners reached out 4 days after we checked out claiming we damaged a piece of furniture. This is patently false. We will be fighting this to the end so this doesn’t happen to any other traveler. What a shame.

Anniversary trip

The house was perfect for the celebration of our wedding anniversary. It is so nicely appointed and very comfortable. Every amenity was provided and then some - including speakers in every room, plenty of throw pillows and blankets, and a kitchen stocked with every appliance and utensil you could ever need! Thank you for helping make our anniversary celebration so special!

Spectacular mountain home

My wife and I stayed at the property and had a wonderful time. The design of the house, decor/furnishings, linens, pretty much everything are top notch. Also very private - we never saw or heard a neighbor and we were there on a very busy labor day weekend. A little lower in elevation than some of the other properties we've stayed in around the Blue Ridge area (around 1,600 feet), but the view is still spectacular. Overall, highly recommended!

Gorgeous property with a few quirks

Gorgeous home and location. THE GOOD: The property is absolutely beautiful. The three king size beds, each having its own bathroom was great for three adult couples! The beds and linens were perfection! We cook most meals when we VRBO and we found pretty much everything we needed for family meals It is an extremely quiet area so no sound disturbances. Less than an hour from everything we wanted to do. Amazing array of really really good restaurants. THE QUIRKY: There is no common bathroom so there are stairs for two of the couples to use the bathroom. The treehouse just across a patio from the main cabin (absolutely gorgeous) is the only place with both couches and a TV. No kitchen/TV option and the game room downstairs only has two bean bags. Our family multitasks with games/TV/food so we had to do some adjusting. Only one bedroom has a dresser and closet space available. if you're an unpacker, this could be a challenge. FNALLY: the dog. their very very generous charge of $15 a day made it possible for our well trained dog to come with us. For our particular dog only, we had two challenges. There is a moose head over the fireplace in the main cabin. It freaked him out! We had to "make friends" with it before the barking and freak out ended. The second was in the Treehouse there is some kind of animal skin on the floor as a rug which sent him wild so he couldn't be there with us. Awesome cabin - it just wasn't quite right for us.

Great getaway!

This rental is a must! One of the most beautifully decorated places I have stayed, which is unusual for a rental. Details are beautiful. ALL of the bedrooms are masters with kings and private bath suites so my friends and I were incredibly comfortable and were able to spend some quality time together. I brought my two small dogs and the host was able to accommodate them for a fee. The only thing I may recommend to the host is to update the stove top cookware to match the rest of the rental. I did a lot of cooking for my friends and this along with the outdoor grill needs an upgrade for those who really enjoy cooking. I really enjoyed being greeted with an immaculately clean space infused with essential oil warmers. The freshness and smell of the cabin feels like entering a high end spa. Enjoyed the quiet area during the week and the quick ‘hike’ down to the beautiful river. Will be back in the Fall!

Gorgeous Cabin & Location

We loved this Cabin! So peaceful and easy to find. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Blue Ridge, Mercier Orchards, shopping and restaurants are all close by. Great place to relax and enjoy the views. We saw Deer every day!

Great stay

We had a great stay at this property. The house was beautiful and in a great location close to the city center. We enjoyed the beautiful fireplaces throughout the house and hot tub. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. Looking forward to coming coming back soon.

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed the house, the bedrooms & bathrooms were wonderful. Two fireplaces were not working & there wasn’t a place for everyone to watch TV together as the only large TV was in the basement, but there wasn’t enough seating. Overall, we had a nice stay and the house had everything we needed.

Loved the property and customer service!

Our stay at this beautiful cabin was on a rainy late summer weekend. So without much to be able to explore outside, we spent a lot of time indoors and enjoyed every minute. We loved the beautiful furnishings, the game room, the comfy beds, and the view. Thanks for a great vacation!

Beautiful Cabin

We picked the perfect cabin! Decorated very modern rustic and couldn't have been more perfect. Great location and Highly recommend this house to everyone. Would love to stay in this cabin again on our next white water rafting trip!! The owners were very accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful trip making memories with the family❤️

Perfect getaway house

We brought our 3 young children to stay at this beautiful house. It was clean and easy to get to. The spaces are set up well with nice furniture. The beds are also comfortable. The fire pit and hot tub were the kids favorites. The owners were always quick to respond, easy to work with, and so nice. We will definitely be back.

Toccoa Tree Lodge

The cabin is beautiful inside and out. The inside is wonderfully furnished and clean with incredible attention to detail. In particular we loved the big copper claw tub in the master and the downstairs suite/game room with the gas fireplace. Private/secluded but close enough to the city of Blue Ridge that we could make a few trips to get take out or groceries. Overall great experience would def stay here again.

Weekend escape

Stay was perfect for what we needed. Quick weekend get away. Cabin was perfect and really well designed. Walking distance to the river for flyfishing. We will definitely come back and bring friends next time.

Anniversary Trip of our Dreams!

I cannot rant, rave, and brag about this property enough!!!! It was absolutely perfect in every way (especially when it snowed!!!). Also, Cristina and Brendon are absolutely amazing hosts. They were always very quick to respond, always amazing to help out with anything and everything we needed during our stay, and was always trying to check on us during our stay to make sure we were super happy with everything! We will ABSOLUTELY will be coming back to stay because it was just an absolutely perfect and cozy stay!
