Clean, spacious home

Lovely large property, spacious interior, short walk to a gorgeous beach, and short bike ride into downtown. We all enjoyed the beach, shops, and wonderful restaurants in Bayfield.

Bayfield summer

A super place to stay in the beautiful town of Bayfield. Our stay went perfectly - host was fantastic - and only a hop and skip to the beach. It could not have been better.

Great time!

The back yard was great! Firepit area was awesome ! Patio area was roomy. Very roomy backyard for our games . Quiet area , great to sit and drink coffee and watch the bunnies and birds! Roomy house , with great kitchen and extremely glad of air conditioning as 30 plus and humid! We enjoyed our stay and would come again ! Doreen T and family

Quiet private huge backyard minutes from the beach

Spacious clean quiet home just minutes from the lake. Backyard is enormous. Room to spread out with lots of shade and space for sun bathers. Gated deck is perfect for your pooch. Wonderful spot to stay for your visit in Bayfield.

Home base for a wedding

We needed a place within 30 minutes of an out of town wedding venue. This location was perfect. Lots of bedrooms and two full bathrooms to help 5 people get ready in time. Lots more to do in Bayfield but we just didn’t have time. Nice quiet neighbourhood close to views of Lake Huron

Sunny Gardens

Sunny Gardens provided a clean, quiet and well equipped vacation spot. The backyard area was beautifully landscaped with trees and flowers. It was located a short from the restaurants and shops and the grocery was nearby as well. The only negatives were a few maintenance issues. There were light bulbs burnt out and the dishwasher did not work. Mirrors in the bedrooms would be appreciated.

A cozy place to stay!

On arrival we found a welcome package including a Smores kit, coffee to get our week started, and even a treat for our pup! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the house clean and cozy. The presence of the dishwasher made after-meal clean-up a breeze. Improvements to the property are clearly being made all the time, as evidenced by the expansive deck where we enjoyed morning coffee when weather allowed. The property is within easy driving distance of many enjoyable experiences. While we stayed there we took in the historic Goderich gaol for some local history, played mini-golf, visited the beaches, enjoyed a tasting at Schatz Winery, and shopped in town. The selection of local restaurants provided a variety of fares from fine to affordable. Our contact got back to us almost immediately on all the questions we had. One of our favourite aspects of the property was the intimate firepit area under the protection of large shade trees - such a wonderful place to kick back with a glass of wine and chat with friends at the end of a long day. We would love to return in the future!

Bayfield

Bayfield is a nice town with several restaurants. The cottage was nice. The beach was rocky in the water.

A perfect stay again

The house has everything you need for a relaxing vacation, and a beautiful large garden and deck. The house is in walking distance of the lake, and in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood. I would highly recommend this place as great way to get away from it all and unwind. Being pet friendly is also a plus.

Best Summer Getaway

Sunny Gardens is a wonderful place, very homey and Jennifer has made our stay very warm and welcoming. The backyard is so gorgeous, we could not stop taking pictures. I just wanted my family to experience Grand Bend Beach, but instead we discovered more of Bayfield. It is absolutely beautiful. Hopefully we will be coming back next year!

Spacious Cottage With Big Backyard!

We had a great stay in the sunny gardens cottage! Great sized cottage which can definitely handle more then my wife, two children and myself. Backyard is private and very large so we could play soccer and the kids could run around. It was only a short walk down to the beach which was very convenient. We also enjoyed the splash pad and park in Bayfield. We brought our bikes so it was only a short ride up to the park and business section of town! We had a great time and would recommend staying at the sunny gardens cottage to anyone!! Thanks again!

Our family had a wonderful stay

We really enjoyed this lovely, very clean property. The pictures online didn't quite do it justice. The backyard is very spacious and we enjoyed eating outside on the deck.The kitchen cupboards are well stocked, the fridge is a good size and the dishwasher is pretty quiet and works great. Having 2 full bathrooms was very helpful as there were six of us staying at this property. Jennifer kept in touch with us to make sure we had everything we needed which was so appreciated.

Wonderful stay in Bayfield

We really enjoyed our week in Sunny Gardens. The charming bungalow is well-equipped with everything you could need -- a full eat-in kitchen, comfy living room with a great selection of DVDs and puzzles for rainy days, a huge back deck and glorious garden with fire pit surrounded by Muskoka chairs. We loved having meals watching the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. The house is a super-easy walk to the lake, and about 15 minutes on foot to Bayfield's historic main street and Pioneer Park. We found lots to do in the area including nature trails, bike trails, cable wakeboarding at Windmill Lake, shopping, and exploring Huron County's many charming small towns. Looking forward to our next visit!

A memorable birthday vacay during the pandemic

We, a family of 3, had a much needed break for a week celebrating our daughter’s 7th at the Sunny Gardens cottage. They have a beautiful backyard which provided the perfect setup to put up some birthday decor and have a zoom party. The cottage was well equipped with all modern day comforts (A/C, wifi) and close enough to good beaches to have a great time. We felt very comfortable even before getting there due to Jennifer’s prompt communication and the due diligence done before renting the property out. We would love to come by again sometime soon.
