Villas overlook main road and noise from traffic could be heard. The queen bed was like sleeping on a wooden plank. Bathroom had tiles separating, and laminate stuck to the wall with tape. Outdoor areas look dated back to the 80’s, the whole place needs a lot of maintenance. Not worth the $400 a night, more like $200 at best, if it was in better...

“We loved our stay! Beautiful room with a great view of the vineyard. The area was quiet, the bed was comfortable & the room amenities were well thought out. The only issue was the water temp in the shower. It was unstable, running scorching hot then freezing basically the whole time the shower was on. Honestly though, not a huge issue considering all the positives with our stay.”

“You get the entire detached house next to the winery all to yourself. It may show a bit of age in places, but honestly, it feels almost too luxurious for the price. The house comes with four beds, a dining area, kitchen, living room, a saltwater pool, and even a billiards table. The pool cues are pretty worn out and not perfectly straight—but that just adds to the charm (lol). If you’re serious about playing billiards all night, you might want to bring your own cue… if such a traveler even...

“We had a wonderful time at this beautiful historic hotel. The staff are the greatest asset, and provide genuine, heartfelt excellent service in everything they do. The team that looks after the rooms is also exceptional. Having seen some other people’s reviews, I think you need to bear in mind that this is a building which is more than 100 years old, and it has been updated to a very comfortable and pleasant experience. “Our stay at Club Wyndham Pokolbin was great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The property was very central to loads of wineries and close to the Hunter Valley Gardens. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay here, and would book again. ”
