10/10
Once you walk into this home, its shortly down a non paved road, but thats no problem, ive seen many cars and golf carts driving down this road. The neighborhood has alot of neighors who loved to wave, very friendly, quiet place. Do be warned each morning and dusk, their is peacocks who like to what i thought was scream, but their communicating with each other. The neighbor a few houses down, has the biggest pet turtle i have ever seen. the home has a wonderful AC unit and a beauiful waterfall in the pool. which you need to push 1, if it shuts off, its on a timer. We loved all the touches this home offered, the owner thought of everything. The outdoor private shower, was so peaceful, and really lets you disconnect from the everyday hussle. I felt so secluded on this island, but in reality we were less then 10 minutes to many mom and pop restuarants. We were able to walk Gault Preserve, and visit Calusa Herritage trail, there is a ton of history on this island. Matlacha, is coming back after the hurricane, and the bridge repairs is coming along nicely, even with repairs, you have no problem getting off the island. We visited the cuba bakery coffees shop in town, which was very tasteful and calm atmopshere. We had burgers at the Street Eatz and Ale, wonderful music, by local musician. We also ate at Phuzzy Bar in St. James, which is southern part of Pine island. Fire dept. is less than a mile from home. Propane and charcoal grill and totally fenced in yard.
