Fireplace tip-If the flu is open all of the way and the logs are in the rear of the firebox there is not a smoke problem.

Unfortunately this review is not accurate. We never had anywhere near 85 to 90 degree days in October. And, Vermont is always cool at night during fall months. The small heat wave was in the low 70"s. Air conditioning. is not listed in the amenities. There are plenty of floor fans and with fans and open windows as well as the door off the kitchen heat would not have been a problem. Unfortunately owners have no control over the weather.

The Adirondack chairs get stored in the winter and placed back on deck in the spring. We had over 3 feet of snow on that deck this year.

There is actually a brand-new loveseat in the living room. The internet is DSL and due to the Vermont location of the home, the service providers are limited and we are stuck with one provider who is not upgrading the system at this point. The fireplace is not an issue if the instructions are read and followed by travelers.

This property was hand built over 35 years ago by my family when there was no cable or WIFI available. We built this to deliver a true Vermont experience with hand crafted beams and hand crafted fireplaces. We also provide a gourmet kitchen with a blue star high end range. When it was finally available and as a bonus we were able to finally provide satellite TV service and DSL/WIFI as a bonus. There is a guide button on the remote that will allow guests to access the full TV channel line up. We have been in constant contact with the Internet provider and they are not planning on upgrading the infrastructure by running a cable up a road to my rentals. Unfortunately we cannot get faster Internet service and trust me we have tried.. I constantly let guests know that if they are planning on working from the rental and need zoom call performance that this cabin is not for them,. Sorry but we really try hard to provide what this cabin was built for. Vermont, Vermont, Vermont.

Unfortunately Vermont never gets prolonged heat waves and this heat that hit Sothern Vermont is the worst I have seen in my entire life. We are in the process of upgrading the box spring and mattress to a high end brand. The entire bed is being replaced.
