Valentines weekend and winter break

We had 10 people and a baby ! The cabin is beautiful and a great location ! The view is amazing !

This was a beautiful cabin! The pictures don't do it justice. It served all of our needs. Perfect view. The beds were the best I have slept in with all of my traveling. Very clean. We had a great experience during our stay for our snow tubing adventure!

Beautiful home in a most convenient location to Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mountain. The whole nine yards. Excellent communication with Carolina Cabins to cover any needs we had. Which were none. 5 stars!

Nice with flaws

Nice looking space that fit us all well. Unfortunately there were issues with the oven, hot tube, circuits in kitchen, WiFi and cleanliness of two of the five beds (seeds/pellets/small round objects found in them). Communications from the rental agency left us feeling belittled and talked down to.

25th Anniversary with the Family

This property is absolutely stunning! We brought the "matures" and one teenager and there was something for everyone. The only caveat was the code to get in didn't work when we arrived. That is always a stressful way to kick off, but the realty company handled within minutes. And we were able to access with a key and a new code. Enjoyed this spacious lodge for a long weekend. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely spacious home that was perfect for our daughter’s graduation weekend.

Just a few negatives. We all assumed there would be a hairdryer as there usually is in a rental. Hot tub water did not seem clean. Those were not make or break negatives at all. Just worth noting. We had an overall perfect stay with our multigenerational group. We would definitely rent again!

Summer getaway

The property was beautiful. The location perfect. Home lay out excellent for family. The only negative was the lack of deep cleaning. Dust on all fixtures and furniture. Cobwebs on the moose and cabinet corners. Windows needed serious cleaning. Dirt and dust in the corners. There was a broom but no dust pan. Limited cooking pans for the stove top. The home is absolutely beautiful abd the views were breath taking. They just more attention to detail in the cleaning. Food for thought. We would defiantly stay here again. Just would stress they ensure the home is cleaned better or they leave cleaning tools so we can clean it

Family Vacation

Mountain Laurel Lodge is a beautiful home that suited our needs perfectly. The neighborhood is also beautiful, quiet and extremely safe. The location is ideal as you can be at Boone or Blowing Rock in just minutes if you ever want to venture into civilization. Carolina Cabin Rentals was fabulous to work with and their staff is extremely kind in addressing any needs or concerns you might have. We could not have asked for them to be more accommodating.

Very nice place, but lack of cleanliness all around.

The house was as described and the view is nice. Bedrooms are great sized and comfortable beds. That being said the housekeeping was atrocious. There were not enough towels for all the guests. The oven was covered in grease and so was the coffee maker. Had to soak and scrub them to be usable. There was a thick layer of dust on all the ceiling fans and on almost every decoration in the entire house. For the “censored dollar amount” cleaning fee that’s charged I can’t tell if the property manager is getting ripped off or I am. Either way I would not stay in the house or any one that is managed by Carolina cabin rentals.

Halloween get away

We came to Boone with our friend-family to enjoy the downtown Halloween fun and to take the kids to Grandfather Mountain for some hiking. The house was the perfect set up for our two families. Two master suites upstairs for the parents and plenty of room downstairs for the kids!! Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The gas logs in the living room were a plus as the weather had just enough chill that we could enjoy the evening fires. And there are no words to describe the beautiful sunrises we enjoyed over coffee! Check in/out process was a breeze and the beds were even made and ready for us when we arrived. We are already planning our return to enjoy nearby Appalachian Ski Mountain in January!

Wonderful location close to everything

Our family enjoyed our stay here. Wasn't quite as clean as I'd expect to find a place but instead of complaining we just did a little cleaning ourselves and enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious and well equipped. The location was close to both Blowing Rock & Boone (10 min drive). We would not hesitate to stay here again if ever in the area.

Gorgeous property, wonderful memories

The property was actually better than advertised. Very large home, 10 of us and we were never crowded. Large rooms, wonderful views of the mountains. Furnishings were gorgeous. My only criticism is that there was no cell service, and the internet was inadequate. Could have used a few more frying pans, so if you rent, you may want to bring a couple. We would rent again.

Amazing Views & Stunning Home!

We LOVED our week at Mountain Laurel Lodge! This cabin had absolutely AMAZING views of the surrounding mountains! The cabin is well stocked with LOTS of extras - for example, wonderfully comfortable beds throughout the house, large comfortable sofa in the living room, ready-to-use hot tub, lots of linen for our use, well stocked family room in basement with various games, to name a few. The property is so convenient, areas to walk your pets for this pet friendly cabin. We look forward to staying again in the near future! The rental company's service is outstanding; they helped us make some last minute adjustments for this visit with ease! This rental company is our go to in planning our vacation as they were so helpful during our last vacation last summer!

Absolutely loved the home. Great family time. Fantastic views. House very well equipped for all our needs. Only problem we encountered was the cleanliness when we arrived. Beer can on stone wall by garage. 2 more that had been run over in driveway. Garage had various pieces of trash scattered around. Backs of furniture has dust as well as many areas of floors that didn't get regular foot traffic. Pool table so dusty showed track of balls before we brushed it. Beautiful floors but cracks between planks in kitchen had food crumbs in them. Crockpot had cooked on food on it. Inside of crockpot shell has grease all over bottom. Reached for bowl in cabinet to find rice that literally looked liked maggots. Sorry. Just did not feel quite right considering the mandatory cleaning fee. Now with all that being said we loved the house so much we have already booked for 2022

Holiday stay

Beautiful place...... but DEFINITELY needs a better cleaning, especially during Covid! I had to wipe down dust and stuff off of everything especially the appliances and furniture! Found an artificial nail still on the floor as well as some trash. Place just needs a major dusting but gorgeous.

Great for large family

A beautiful, comfortable mountain house with great Mountain View. We stayed with our married children and grandchildren during Thanksgiving. Each family had their own bedroom and most with en suite bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked for a vacation rental. Close to town, but far enough away to be peaceful. Overall very clean. Only negative comment is the stove and oven need a good cleaning, which I'm sure will happen.

Lovely house
