“My family has a beach house in Waldport and several family members were coming down for Memorial day. We needed extra room so we rented the Mermaids Lair. We really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed all the mermaids.The neighborhood was amazing so quiet and so close to the beach. It was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this house for families and froends.”

“It was warm when we walked in, that’s always a plus! Although it was pretty wet because my glasses steamed up. You should definitely have a dehumidifier running full-time in the living room as well as the bedroom this time of year. We got hail and intermittent heavy rains all weekend! Both propane heaters got it really hot and quick making it very comfortable after a long day elk hunting in the freezing rain. The property manager got back with me very fast because I thought there was a missing...

“Cute rustic cabin in the woods but very close to the ocean. Extremely peaceful and very clean. A knob on the stove was broken and some of the chairs around the dining were very wobbly so you had to be very careful and not let an elderly sit in the wobbly chair. But overall was a very good stay. ”

“This was a great little place to stay. It was clean and quiet and a 2 minute walk to the beach! We had a great time here! ”

“Overall, we were happy with our stay. We loved how close we were to the beach, as well as the creek where our toddler could play. The clawfoot bathtub was great. We were surprised to see a swingset on the property, as well as being able to see the ocean and sunsets from the kitchen/living room area. If I were the host, I would definitely include these things in the listing! Some less-than-ideal finds included some trash on the floor in the master bedroom as well as by the firepit. The...

“Want to keep this hidden gem a secret so it will always be available but def want the folks who run it to prosper because it's such a great spot. “Our family needed an unplugged getaway and Yachats was perfect. The house was more than we needed, but also perfect. We parked the day we arrived and had no need to drive until our departure. If you are looking for an immaculately clean house, this place is not for you. There are lots of beautiful beams and high ceilings, so lots of opportunities for spiders and cobwebs. Our family is okay with this, but not everyone is. We loved our stay”
