“This was absolutely one of the best stays I’ve ever had in Japan or any place else! The mom and daughter duo who run it are so sweet, helpful and genuine, the room was terrific, and breakfast delicious. The location is right where you want to be, within walking distance of lots of Nara sights and great food. I STRONGLY recommend staying at Matsumae Ryokan if at all possible.”

“Tsukihitei is truly an extraordinary place. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful traditional setting, exceptional service, and attention to every detail made the experience unforgettable. It feels like stepping into a hidden gem where Japanese elegance and warm hospitality come together perfectly. A truly special place that I highly recommend.”

“This was such a special property that was the ultimate luxury. The staff was impeccable and kind and so helpful. The room was dreamy with every minor detail executed perfectly. Nothing was forgotten and the breakfast and dinner onsite was a beautiful experience with delicious food.”

“Maravilloso ”

“Great location, great hotel”

“Hotel Antiguo Hermoso”

“Hotel was amazing, room could've been better. For some reason there was zero towel hooks in the bathroom or outside in the Onsen. You could see where the hook fell off in the bathroom. Makes it unfortunate when you want towels to air out or just keep near by. We hung them on the doors of the closet which was far from the onsen and bathroom. The other issue. The drain in the shower was so slow that we could shower for long. Maybe 3 minutes and the water would backup above the door sill and go...
