Greaaat location, across the street from the Hawthorn hotel. Apartment was clean, cozy and def vibes of old Salem. Communication with home owners was easy and handwritten welcome note was cute and informative. Would absolutely recommend and stay again when we come back.

This property was the best location in town! 2-5 monte walk to almost everything! The host were very communicative and easy to reach. The penthouse apartment is so charming and so much history! Clean and well appointed. It has a great kitchen and amazing antique furniture pieces. Be aware that there are a lot of older steep wooden stairs in this 1710 penthouse. So may not be suitable for those with knee issues or carrying up large suitcases or Children.

The location and layout of the space were just what we needed for our girls trip. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. We spent each night hanging out in the cozy living room. And I loved that there were enough beds for each of us to have a comfortable rest. Also, communicating with the host was super easy. I'd definitely stay here again.

The home is beautifully decorated, very clean, the neighborhood and locals below were so kind! It is a great location and makes everything walkable. The communication and check in process was super easy. We would stay here again. However it is good to know that the floors in the apartment were unlevel. It can make navigating the house difficult if you already have an unsteady balance.

We had a fantastic time here! The home was so charming and comfortable, and we loved the decor. The location couldn’t be more perfect (we were able to walk to all the sights we wanted to see in Salem), and the hosts are also very communicative. It truly exceeded our expectations.

We had a great SummerWeen in The Archer house! The history book in the space to read was awesome to see how far back the house and roots of it go. It’s definitely an older house with history and uneven floors, but it adds the the character of the home. We loved it and the girls loved having bigger beds than mom and dad for the week! The communication with the host was a breeze and any questions were answered right away. We loved the decor and Halloween vibes. Will definitely stay again!!

Fantastic rental. Perfect location to all things Salem: Derby Warf, tourist stops, shops and restaurants. Owners were very helpful, friendly and responsive. The house itself is very clean and beautifully renovated. We recommend and would stay again.

Close to everything

Fantastic place. Close enough to walk to everything and a delightful oasis to retreat to. Hosts are very responsive and accommodating to requests as much as possible. Definitely will keep this one as a favorite to stay at again. Maybe in the fall next time to really enjoy the ambiance.

In the heart of it all

This charming home is right in the heart of downtown Salem, making it easy to walk to just about any attraction. We thourougly enjoyed the home with all of it's history and appropriately themed living spaces. The hosts were great at giving you everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The communication was top notch too! We had a fantastic time!

Girls Weekend 2025

Myself and two of my friends, all from all over the country came to Salem to work on some family history and reconnect. The house was absolutely wonderful and just the quiet we needed. Everything was within walking distance and the recommendations were wonderful and spot on.

Historic Salem, MA

We booked the Archer for a spring break trip with our kids. The place is perfect to walk to all the historic and touristy locations around Salem. The rental was perfect, and absolutely wonderful. We loved the 300yr old building and had plenty of space for us and 2 kids. The spaces were clean, well furnished and left no disappointment. This has been our favorite rental to date.
