Great place to stay, hosts were communicative and responded quickly to questions and requests. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our time there.

Location is a quiet spot an easy walk from central Salem and the train station for trains into Boston. Flat is basic but has very comfy beds a great shower in the bathroom and a pleasant lounge area. The kitchen area is a little tired and could use a hob, but with so many places to eat in Salem, cooking dinner wasn’t really a consideration. Host was easy to contact and friendly. We had a great time and would recommend it.

Located in a quiet neighborhood not far from downtown at all . Easy walking and Lyft/ uber access. House was cute and cozy only thing I’d recommend is new couches the futons could use an upgrade. And the stairs are a little bit narrow to the 3rd floor unit that we stayed in but overall we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend and book again when return !

The only thing was no stove (maybe I missed where it said not one?) We like to cook a meal so we don't have to go out every night . The host was great ! For being a top floor it was cool and comfortable. You just get your key and enjoy your stay ! Oh loved the roof windows with pull down shades ! Looking out at night at the moon and/or stars was relaxing. Overall just what we expected. (Minus the stove )

It was an absolute pleasure to stay here! Walking distance to Salem and a very responsive host. I would recommend this stay.

I could not think of a single complaint about this property or the hosts. Check-in instructions were very clear. The apartment is great, everything works perfectly, and I really appreciated having the washer and dryers on site as well that was nice to do my laundry before leaving for home. The hosts were respectful and communicative and their backyard homestead setup is adorable!

The area was beautiful and could walk to main Salem restaurants and shops . House was beautiful, clean and has all needed to just stay in and watch a movie and relax!!! Wou oh d stay here again!❤️

Great place to stay, plenty big enough rooms! Host was great at responding quickly. Great location and within uber or walking distance of anything! Easy check in & out process!

We stayed on the third floor. It was clean, comfortable beds and plenty of towels. It was about a 15 minute walk to the museums. It was just what we needed for our short stay in Salem.

Everything was as advertised. Very clean, spacious and met all our expectations and thensome. Beds were very comfortable too! Very close to main attractions (15 min walk) and food and convenience stores nearby. Highly reccomend!

Comfortable and close to everything

Two comfy beds and some futons made for a great home base while exploring Salem. Easy to walk to all the things and felt safe during the day and night. We had a great time and hope to be back!

Pros: Overall all our needs were met for a September stay in Salem. The bathroom was clean. There were plenty of towels. The water was hot. Full sized fridge. AC was comfortable. Very walkable paths to downtown Salem that took us about 15-18 minutes each way. Cons: There were no flat sheets in the VRBO only fitted sheets and 2 comforters (one for each bed). So no extra blankets. And really nothing to make the futons into beds. We were 3 adult women (friends, not married to each other) who did not want to sleep two to a full sized bed. The description says VRBO sleeps 4. There is a microwave and toaster oven and keurig coffee maker but you can not run any of them together or it trips the plug and shuts one of them off. This listing is for the 3rd floor of a 3 story house. The stairs to get up to the 3rd floor are very steep and only about 3ft wide. We did fine with this but some may not.

Great value option in Salem. Walking distance to some shops/restaurants, though downtown Salem itself is a bit of a hike. Quiet neighborhood, easy on-street parking, easy check-in.Space is large and comfortable, though somewhat lacking in overall furnishings/amenities beyond the basics. Access to the unit is through a fairly tight, winding staircase - wasn't a problem for us, but worth noting.Overall, I read this property as a great value for the money - it's not 5 stars in terms of amenities, but the relative cost and favorable location make up for that. Highly recommended, would stay again.

Nice quiet location. Walking distance to everything and can Uber if it’s not close distance. Very comfortable. Both beds were super cozy. Had a good amount of bathroom towels. Has AC too. Would stay here again.

Great apartment and close to downtown salem

Easy instructions to get into the apartment, we were on the third floor. Great amenities, and it was a nice quiet place. Nice furnishings as well.

We had an amazing stay! Area was very quiet. Stairs to the third floor are a bit on the skinny side. We were there on the hottest day so far and house was very cool. Owners were very nice.

Wonderful Stay at Historic Home in Salem

We were very happy with our stay at this property. The rooms are spacious, clean and well lit. There was some minor confusion when we arrived, but the owner responded quickly and helped us get settled. Great space! Thank you for hosting us.

Home was clean and check in was easy. I like that we were able to get into the property at 2:00 pm and not 4:00 pm like others I have stayed in. It is a 3rd floor walk up so be ready for that! Once upstairs the place is very spacious and looks just like the pictures!! Bedrooms were nice sized as well!! We did get scared with a few noises from the fridge but we expected to hear a few noises at night in a place in Salem!
