Good location with lots of free street parking. You’re not in the middle of downtown, but it’s only a 30 minute walk or a 15 minute drive. I felt safe walking in the neighborhood and there are markets and restaurants within walking distance. The only negative was the booking process. I booked on Vrbo and received a confirmation, so I thought everything was taken care of. The day before I received a frantic voicemail from the property management company saying I hadn’t paid and they may have to cancel my booking. I was at a business dinner but I stepped out to call back and the woman I spoke to said they had been “trying to reach me.” I checked my voicemail and I had one from the previous day, but that was only 2 days before the trip and I had booked at least a week prior. I was worried it was a scam, so I called Vrbo. They didn’t know anything about it and showed I was confirmed and paid. I then had to take more time and review my credit card transactions and saw Vrbo only took their fee, so I then had to pay the management company directly. If this is the process, it should be laid out in the confirmation email. It was unexpected and comes across as a scam. Secondly, I’m confused why I wasn’t contacted sooner. Calling a person 2 days before the booking seems risky. Likely they’re traveling to the location or could be busy, it seems like that would have been taken care of sooner and caused a bit of stress. Hopefully they can fine tune their process this for future guests.
