I liked the location and price. People complain about Cannabis smell, it's true, but remember that it is legal in Colorado, so, you will smell it everywhere you go. The beds felt clean, which was the most important part for me. The carpet and everything else didn't feel clean. I recommend it if you just want to save money on hotel and need a place to crash, in Colorado you want to spend your time outdoors anyway.

Thank you for clarifying the cannabis smell. Most people do not understand that since the legalization of marijuana all hotels are fighting to keep people from smoking in the rooms, it's not only our hotel. Being that your review is anonymous, I am unable to research the room that you were in to go see the carpet. Thank you for your review and thank you for staying with us.

The lobby decor was unique and interesting, but the rest of hotel had no personality, little attempt of decor at all; no coffee was available at breakfast time even though we were told that they’d at least have that; the pillows were 2 sml squares/person and the bathroom only had hot water. Other than those, the price was right!

Unfortunately our coffee maker broke (but has now been replaced) However, complimentary coffee was available from the coffee shop after 8AM.I have passed your other concerns to our GM and ownership.

The property is slowly being renovated - but overall decent. The rooms definitely need updates and the shower/plumbing is noisy. I plan to stay here again a few times so thinking it will keep getting better. Staff is really nice, and good location.

I reserved a double queen room, received a one bedroom. No amenities, no phone, cheap towels and old rundown and damaged room. No restaurant, no shuttle and no services. Do not stay. The pictures on the Internet are old and not what it looks like. Very disappointed.

Hi Jennifer, We were overbooked by Expedia and your reservation had been cancelled but we did our best to accomodate you by giving you a credit towards your room and a rollaway bed. Since this isn't your first stay with us, we certainly appreciate your feedback.

Great stay for the money!
They are working to update and refurbish the hotel. My room was not updated but was tasteful and comfortable. Everyone I met at the front desk was beyond friendly and helpful. I found it to be a great value stay and the location was great. While the room was older and needs an update, it was clean and had what I needed. I'm excited to see how things are when they're done with the remodel and the restaurant opens back up.

Old but centrally located
It is an older hotel but very well located for taking our granddaughter to her freshman year at CU Boulder. Nice area to walk/run in - lots of trails and paths. Joseph at the front desk was personable and very good. WiFi is spotty and the restaurant is not open but there are many good eating places nearby. While not new or updated, it is the most reasonably priced hotel in the area.

The staff was extremely polite and professional. Unfortunately the hotel itself is poorly maintained and dirty. I left two days early and checked into a different hotel because the room smelled like a unclean locker room. The curtains were stained and smelled as well. The tub didn’t drain well. All the rooms were full due to move in time for CU Boulder students. Since, I was traveling out of State I thought the hotel conveniently close to the CU boulder campus. The condition of the hotel shows that the owners obviously do not reinvest in maintain the hotel. Although, it was close to that CU Boulder campus I would absolutely never stay there again unless a new owner or management took over to revamp the place.

The room was clean, had microwave & fridge. Tv worked after I put an order to have it fixed. The hotel is charming, location is good. The low score was because the hotel had no working wifi for the 3 full nights/days I stayed there. There were meetings I take late at night & early morning - I could not do. What was worse is that there was enough wifi for a phone connection but not enough strength for a laptop even in lobby. So, for the first 24 hrs- I had my company help desk on the phone. The front desk staff were polite about it, both gentleman and lady explained they were having problems with the vendor, However, they had no working solutions for me at all. Finally there was a manager on the day, I was checking out who continued to tell me about his frustrations with the vendor - when I told him I didn’t care about his problems & that I lost 3 days of work - the response was rude and they said you could have gone to a different hotel. Upon leaving, I suggested they try a different provider - front desk yelled and said he didn’t want to talk to me anymore and that I should not have have gotten a cheap $79 room on Expedia for the room. BTW, I paid $100 and cashed all my rewards for this stay. So now I am even more pissed, I overpaid.This whole thing could have been turned around had they tried to appease me, offer discounts or anything. Customer service isn’t just about asking guests to check out when they know the hotels are sold out when something isn’t working.

We are sorry that your stay was less than satisfactory. However, you WERE made aware of the internet provider/vendor issues the hotel and the entire area around the hotel were experiencing on your first night, with no timetable for service restoration, yet you chose to stay anyway. The area's internet service had still not been restored on the 2nd or even the 3rd day of your stay... yet you chose to stay anyway then demanded 'apeasement' at check out.

As I explained when you were checking out, EXPEDIA has been directed by our facility to relocate your reservation and EXPEDIAfailed to do that in a timely manner. When you arrived for the reservation, we checked you into the only room that we had available. We apologizefor that mix up and accomidated you the best we were able.

Hotel des annees 70 non renové et d’un confort basique mais d’un propreté indiscutable. A noter la gentillesse remarquable du personnel. Le souci est indeniablement le bruit constant de l’autoroute qui passe à 50 metres de vos fenetres. Tres bruyant.

Sorry your stay was less than you expected. We did offer to change/upgrade your room, however you and your intoxicated guest refused that and opted to leave the hotel instead.

The property has so much potential! Unfortunately it felt like we were catfished. The photos advertising the rooms were very pretty and had that classic historical vibe that matched the loveliness of the lobby. However, when we got to our room it may as well have been a motel six. Walls were damaged and sheets were cheeps and rather ugly. I understand that the property just recently changed owners and is under renovations. I just wish that was explicitly stated in the advertisement. We came to celebrate our 5th anniversary and we’re willing to pay extra for a room as promised but we weren’t ever warned that our room may not look ANYTHING like the advertised rooms.
