    Spacious beach cottage with open floor plan on Sargent Island, walk through the back yard and you are on the beach. The surf fishing is great. Fishing, shelling, bird watching, crabbing or just enjoy the surf. Come put your feet up on the beach front deck with your favorite beverage and watch the sunrise while enjoying an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico and Sargent Beach. We want to provide you a vacation home of your dreams, where you can relax and enjoy your getaway.
    Discover unspoiled Sargent Island where the fishing is great, sunrises spectacular, and crowds are elsewhere.
    Island Beach Retreat offers 3 bedrooms 1queen/1double/1king (linens provided)also a sleeper sofa that can sleep 2.
    1 bath (bath towels/wash cloths for in house use only)
    Large living room overlooking the Gulf of Mexico
    Fully equipped kitchen
    There are 2 security cameras on the exterior of the property. These are never reviewed unless there is a problem there.
    Pet friendly. Signed rental agreement is due upon booking. $175.00 NON-REFUNDABLE PET FEE PER PET. CANCELLATION POLICY IS 30 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. However, if cancelled within 30 days and property can be re-rented rent will be refunded in full. If only a portion of the dates can be rented stay will be pro-rated and returned to guest. DUE TO GUEST NOT FOLLOWING CHECK OUT GUIDELINES. WE WILL NOW HAVE A CHECK OUT FORM AT THE HOUSE TO CHECK OFF AND SIGN UPON CHECK-OUT. lf guidelines are not followed it will result in your credit card being charged and additional cleaning fee of $175. When accepting the rental agreement and check out instructions you are agreeing to this extra charge if necessary.

Great location. Quiet area. Short drive to Matagorda Bay and Palacios. It is great for nature lovers and people wanting a quiet place to veg out. If you are looking for more "resort type" may not be for you.

This house was everything it promised and more. Perfect location, spacious, clean house threw out. Checking in and out were very simple and communication was always quick. Hope to return next year for another amazing beach vacation

We had a wonderful time at this quant cottage. It was just the calm we needed. The people in Sargent are very friendly and welcoming!

I wasn’t going to post a review because I was just going to brush it off but since we are being charged for something we didn’t even do I’m posting. This place was dirty, the toilet had hair all over it when we arrived, sand in the beds. The sliding doors are so hard to open they almost come off of the track. Bring extra trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels because what they give you doesn’t last. Also they have you wash dry and fold the towels so you better bring laundry soap because they don’t supply that.

The overall experience was good. The pictures looked like it was a nice place however once we got into the house, it appeared that the cleaning wasn’t up to par. There was dust and small dirt pieces in the corners of the rooms and in kitchen. The silverware and kitchen utensils were dusty from not being used in awhile. Perhaps we were the first guests to use the house in a long period of time. In addition, we were required to sweep, mop and clean all towels before leaving. I have never been asked to do that in previous VRBOs before. Aside from that, the communication with the owner was great, and the layout of the house was perfect for couples to have game nights and gathering together. The distance from the house to the beach was perfect as well. Not too far of a walk but not too close either.

My initial sensory hit upon entering this Vrbo was 'quiet' & 'peaceful.' Windows are abundant in this Vrbo, ALL with great views of the coastal waters and nature. There aren't any homes nearby, I mean, there are neighbors, but there is ample space between the homes. We found everything needed in the kitchen to prepare the food we brought with us. The indoor and outdoor table seating offered options depending on the sun's angle and temp.

Had an amazing time staying here. Cheryle was so helpful and prompt with communication or any issue that needed attention. The beach house was clean and tidy. The views alone are worth it! Will definitely be booking here again!

Beach get away!

We loved Cheryl’s beach house and are definitely coming back!!! The sunsets are phenomenal and the weather was just right, this vacation was highly needed and helped us unwind and just tune in with the sea gods lol Loved every bit of her house!

Perfectly peaceful getaway

The location, privacy and quiet let you really soak in the waves and coastal breeze all of the daylight hours. Enjoyed the lush large lawn too!

House was wonderfully located on beach, so nice to just sit on deck and watch the waves crash in. House was very well appointed everything we needed. We had a supermoon to watch come up a couple days. We collected a ton of Sea beans and shells we like to collect. neighborhood was so quiet and peace full.. Thank you for allowing us to use your home.

Favorite spot on the Coast

Eighth year to stay at this house.....great views of the Gulf from the porch with a short walk across the yard to the beach .....my favorite part - no crowds!
