We live in Bracey and were celebrating my grandmother's life. We needed a place for friends and family to gather and reminisce. Everyone is still talking about this VRBO. Absolutely beautiful. Enough room for everyone to spread out and enjoy. The host was great and responsive. Two kitchens, plenty of bathrooms and the view! The sunroom was a favorite to sleep in. The microwave was a fun party trick ... find the microwave, now try and open it. New tech at it's finest. Highly recommend this lake house. Thinking of taking it for another spin, I was too busy being a hostess ...

The house, layout, and atmosphere was perfect for our small work group to host a retreat. We were able to have multiple places to collaborate, the Wifi and technology were great for our work needs, and the kitchen was more than accommodated for meals.

We were able to have a wonderful week which was to have originally been spent on Lake Lure. We continue to be prayerful for the struggles in Western NC, but are thankful for the time that we were able to spend on Lake Gaston.

Our group had a wonderful stay at this beautifully updated property. We had 3 families of 4, including 6 teenagers. There was plenty of room for everyone and lots to do between the lake, pool, and lounge space.The kids loved jumping off the top tier of the boathouse.The path to the lake is steep but wasn't an issue for our group. The kitchen was fully stocked and beds were comfy. The homeowner was very responsive - before our arrival and while at the house. It was our first time visiting Lake Gaston and we hope to visit again!

The Lake Escape did not disappoint! We truly had a get away while we stayed here. Time to rest, relax and be refreshed taking in the breathtaking views and enjoying all the comforts of home. Lake Escape provides all one could need for a week or more away. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have come across in a rental. Everything was nicely labeled inside the drawer and everything was placed in areas that made sense. The bedding was comfortable for a good nights sleep. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating options to take in the lake, soak in the sun or view the clouds. Such an amazing variety of seating from loungers, to tables and chairs, & the adirondack chairs on the bottom level of the dock. The large dining room table was a hit each night as we gathered to enjoy a family meal. We were really pleased with the location of Lake Escape on the lake as we didn't experience a lot of boat traffic & had so many quiet afternoons and evenings. The location was also great to be able to easily get to things by car. The kids & adults in our group loved our time at the dock whether it was jumping off the upper level of the dock, sitting in the hammock swing or taking a paddle board out for an adventure. We enjoyed the built in speakers around the home that allowed us to connect via blue tooth & enjoy tunes. The Lake Escape was an amazing escape from the day to day grind. If you are looking for a quiet, restful, clean, organized home for your next vacation this is IT.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lake escape! The house has a well-stocked kitchen, and we enjoyed cooking our meals there. The beds and bedding were all very comfortable, and the finishes of this house are top notch. The boat house was awesome, with the biggest draw being the platform from the top deck to jump into the lake. We also enjoyed taking the kayaks and paddle boards out and looking for turtles and otters. The lake was calm enough that even our 5 year olds could kayak on their own a little bit. The hosts could not have been more responsive or tried any harder to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We highly recommend this house if you are looking for a relaxing, stress-free vacation!!

Wow... What an amazing place for a long weekend stay. The owners were amazing to work with and our group had a great time! The house and the amenities are second to none. Very warm and welcoming. The layout is spacious and there is plenty of room for gathering and still plenty of room for all to find their own space. Would highly recommend staying at this property. We will be back!

Very spacious and hip! Everyone had their own space and loved the dock and pool. Beautiful views of the lake from everywhere. Stunning!
