Visit to Bracey VA and Littleton NC

The house was beautiful, but we found areas of it that were not clean (cobwebs on top of the lamps, food stuck on the floor in the kitchen, ants on the kitchen counters, cobwebs and insect droppings on the porch and screened in porch). The screened in porch had dog hair on the cushions, so unusable for us. The steps going down into the living area and dining area need to have something indicating they are there. We are an older group, and we had someone fall as they didn't realize they were there. All in all, we had a wonderful time and things went very well.

Scam Owner

We had a big family stay here. Upon arrival the owner was there with his dog, met the family and could likely tell we were good people. However, one of the first comments he made after he lost his dogs leash was "I wonder what else you're going to steal" - essentially accusing us of this 15 minutes into our arrival. We left a night early bc of the long drive with young kids. We let him know. A week later I got this message "Not sure what you did to my countertops, but they have to be replaced. Also, I do not appreciate the paint on my dock." We've stayed with the same people at similar houses for the last decade and have never heard anything but nice after we left. It's always clean and always taken care of. I gave him the email to send pics and videos of the "damaged areas" and he fell off, but hasn't removed my negative review. Had he said the kids play room was a mess, it may have been more believable. 1) We cleaned incessantly and the place was spotless when we left. My mom (70 years old) cleaned every single day and did most of the cooking 2) How on earth could granite countertops be damaged to the point of needing replaced? We used the kitchen to cook, cutting boards to cut, etc. 3) the "paint" on the dock was nothing more than scented fish bait, easily washed off with something called water. The guy is clearly trying to scam us into getting him new countertops that someone else damaged. Stay away or you'll get extorted too.

Lake Life is Fun

The house and location was great! Loved the sun deck on top of the boathouse which was great for stargazing There was plenty of room for 7 adults and 3 children. The fire pit was great for s’mores and firewood was included. We all enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards as well as the cornhole game. The available outdoor seating was much appreciated. We enjoyed meeting Andrew the owner on the afternoon we checked in. We never had any contact with the property manager.

Great house! Works well for multiple families. Kids loved the playroom and kids bedroom. Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of fun being right on the water.

Family vacation

This was a family vacation with 6 adults , two children and two teenagers. Very roomy and comfortable. Outdoor space was great. Loved the sun porch. Kitchen could have had more cooking utensils but otherwise great. House was very clean. A few things didn’t work but nothing significant.

Beautiful property in excellent location

Can’t imagine a nicer place on Lake Gaston. Property Manager was easy to communicate with and the house and dock were perfect for a family week at the lake. Would definitely go back.

Great Lake Retreat for 8-12 guests

We rented in March and it was calm and peaceful. The property was spacious, the home was spacious, and the dock provided excellent launching for our enormous kayak. We hope to return for more lake life and fire pitting.

Christmas Vacation

The house was everything and more. This is the first time that we stayed somewhere, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything that you needed to make for and enjoyable time. Sara checked in on us to make sure that everything was fine. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the weather and view. Thank you Andrew for sharing your home with us and the support that you gave.

Amazing Property

Our family had a wonderful stay. The home is very spacious, clean, and nicely stocked. The property was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed the dock, use of the paddle boards, and the large lawn for exciting games of corn hole! Highly recommend!

Great Family Stay

We had a wonderful time at this house - was very clean, had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The lake area was very quiet because its a little off the main lake, which was great for our young kids. The only issue we had was with some water pressure issues, mostly in the kitchen sink and the upstairs showers. But...to the owners credit he was very very responsive, had a plumber come on Monday morning to look at it - you don't find responsive owners like that usually so that was nice! The other thing that was kind of odd was having to take our garbage to a main dumpster area instead of it being picked up, but that had to do with the neighborhood I believe (narrow roads I think prevent a garbage truck from coming in) We had 12 of us - which included 6 kids from 8 to 13 and all had a great time.

Amazing Getaway

What a beautiful property. The outdoor space is unbeatable and the location on the lake is great. The house was extremely clean. The host was very accommodating and easy to contact. I would recommend the property to anyone looking to rent in Lake Gaston. Very useful guide provided on what to do, what’s around and things like rentals for boats etc. We will certainly be back again. This place is a 10/10.
