“The location, where the Bay of Bengal meets the river estuary, is superb. You can walk down from the hotel to the river below the cliff. However, rubbish is scattered around the estuary. I suppose there’s not much to be done about it as it’s outside the hotel grounds. Inside the hotel, the facilities—such as the pool and restaurant—are excellent. “This retreat is lovely and once we got into the room we actually reserved and paid for, we really enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately I can’t say that the reception person was very friendly or welcoming. We reserved and paid for a “Deluxe Cottage with garden view”, but we were put in a 4th floor room in one of the tall buildings and we were told that the garden view was the view out of the windows, which was a view off of the grounds. I don’t know what the rate was for that room, but probably a lot...
