“Typical mid-range, rural conference hotel. Archaic procedures that required you to head to the reception every single time that you wanted to use fitness facilities or pool. Correct, if not very friendly service. Overpriced, but decent restaurant (besides the pub five minutes walk away, the only dining option around here). Hotel had just reopened after holidays so Wi-Fi wasn't functioning for the first 24 hours. Blimey.”

“Lovely brick building from 1902 retaining all its old charm. Now a modern pub/hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had food that evening which was very good. Wine and beer prices were quite step but that's par for the course nowadays!!! The bedroom was well appointed etc. All in all, a great stay there.”

“The male (of a certain race) that checked us in looked right past me and greeted my husband when I walked thru the door first and would only deal with him. Even after my husband said I drove and I would fill in the vehicle info, he still asked him to enter the info and would only give him the keys. I felt like I wasn't there! The Plough is way out-dated, the beds are awful but you can they are trying to update some things. New carpets and chairs. I would not recommend this hotel, but maybe in...

“Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm.”

“Already the premises give out a reassuring feeling of care and comfort. This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area. All this topped with an ample parking space. Last, but certainly not least, the caring and welcoming staff just make it a must to want to go back.”
