“Lovely country pub,spacious clean room with lovely big bathroom,really comfortable bed.Had a lovely evening meal, the waitress was really helpful and got our order in quickly after giving us the heads up that there were a lot of large parties in that evening and ordering promptly would be beneficial,food was amazing and good value. Breakfast the next morning was a wide choice and the hosts at the property were brilliant.Would definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.”

“The historic aspect of the hotel is unique and quaint. The proximity to the river, the walking path into town thru the meadows and past gardens is stunning. The vistas of the countryside and flora and fauna were truly spectacular. Staff were helpful, rooms are snug - but clean and comfortable. A memorable stay. Will return & recommend to others. A great base point for visits to local sights such as the Salisbury Cathedral, Old Sarum castle ruins, Stonehenge, and the New Forest area.”

“It was a good location for us as we were travelling to and from Fordingbridge. Location is near a busy road but I have to say this did not affect the quality of our sleep at all, we slept soundly. Very clean, great in room facilities. The shower was a little small but can't be helped given the size of the room - and this had everything we needed within it. “Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!!
