Trip was in early August - 6 adults, 21-46 years old. We live in the front range and have been to Breckenridge and other mountain towns many times over 20+ years...
The GOOD:
-Check in and communication was excellent.
-The location, just past Peak 7, about 2-3 miles to downtown. Secluded enough but also close enough to town.
-More than 1 king bed! The main 4 bedrooms are large and the beds are 2 x king and 2 x queen + bunks that we did not use. Honestly this is rare, the number of rental houses that only have queen size and smaller is baffling.
-2 car garage you can actually use, it is not filled up with the crap or a sports car. It rained many times, so the garage was great.
-Quiet road with excellent views - overall the location and placement of the house are nice.
-Excellent WiFi +200 mbps on most of the floors, it did drop a little on the upper floor, but it was still very good.
The BAD:
-The house is big, and the layout is common for mountain homes - vertical with a lot of stairs, odd angles and strange room layouts. We were fine with all of this, others may not be. There's a LOT of stairs.
-Built in 2002 and its showing it's age with an overall lack of updates and maintenance.
-Top floor toilet leaks. It's not bad enough to make the entire floor wet all the time, but it is an issue.
-Top floor showers also leaks from all of the handles, the water is more significant than the toilet.
-Top floor king bed has no headboard, it's placement feels like an afterthought, get a low rise bed frame and headboard.
-At this point the hot tub just needs to be replaced. The jets barely work and there's grit and roof debris on the bottom.
-Gas fireplace turns on, but the entire house immediately smelled of burnt plastic / chemicals - we could not use it.
-The outdoor sitting area off of the kitchen was frustrating. The kitchen is big and nice, but right outside the door was a snow blower - it's August? Move it to the garage. Also, for such a nice kitchen and house, why would you have the absolute cheapest, red plastic patio chairs? It looks tacky and they were uncomfortable.
-No trash cans - such a weird issue. The kitchen and right next to the toilets were the only trash, weird.
-No fans - another weird issue, but with no AC, you need air flow, opening all the windows is fine, but it needs some better airflow.
-For the price, you're over-paying for what it was 20 years ago, not what it is today, over-built and outdated.
