Our stay in the mountains

We had a wonderful stay at Sandra & Steve's mountain home. It was exactly as described, but the location made it even better. The mountains were stunning and could be seen easily from the home. We had plenty of space to spread out in the home and there was plenty of equipment (crib, highchairs, toys and books) for our 16 month old grandson. A highlight was using the hot tub one clear evening when the stars were out. Sandra was very easy to communicate with and was very responsive to any issue we might have. Overall, a 5 star stay!!!

Annual ski trip

Sandra was very helpful from the moment we booked all the way through check out. Her place was exactly as described in the listing but the pictures did not do it justice! The lodge is perfect for families and friends anywhere from 6-12 people. The house was fully equipped and Sandra made sure we had everything we needed to fully enjoy her accommodation. We will be back!!

Breck Snowboard Trip

Myself and a group of friends go on an annual snowboard trip to Breck every year and are always trying to find a place that balance the cost while still having the amenities such as a kitchen, hot tub, and most importantly; plenty of beds. This place had more than enough space, a private hot tub, and a fully outfitted kitchen (coffee makers, toaster, stove, dishwasher, etc.). We had originally planned the trip with 8 people but due to life only ended up bringing out 5 and this place could have held all 8 people with room to spare. The owners took great care in making sure the place was spotless and Sandra made sure to keep in close contact with me so that I had all the information I needed and then some. The garage was large enough to fit our rental SUV which was a big perk so we could load and unload our gear every day inside. Overall this place is fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to stay a short drive from Breck and wanting a bit more seclusion than the busy downtown area!

Perfect location and great for big groups

The house location is perfect to visit Breckenridge and the ski resort. Sandra was very helpful with providing the instructions to get there , with a lot of suggestions to arrive safely, winter time you might want to get a 4wd vehicle . If you want stay in a mountain property this is definitely a great choice with tons of space and you basically only need to bring your luggage and groceries if you plan to cook I definitely recommend staying here!

Family ski vacation in Breckenridge, CO

Delightful home in a neat setting. The home is well laid out for a group like ours, with two common areas allowing people to break away to read, work or study while the others socialized. The home have most everything you could ask for in multi-day stay. Sandra was wonderfully helpful and kind when we needed assistance during the stay. The drive up to the house can be challenging if you don't have an all-wheel drive vehicle. And at around 11,400 feet, the altitude is something to be aware of...stay well hydrated! Fun trip, beautiful home, and a wonderful hostess.

Magnificent mountain house

Nestled in the woods, high up the mountainside this house was everything we hoped for our family vacation. The house is comfortable, there was room for all of us to gather for meals and games. Kitchen is well stocked. There was also plenty of rooms to spread out during down time. The wildlife roaming the property, mountain views, spacious decks, proximity to hiking trails and adventures in town were amazing. The fire pit and kids toys were an added bonus. We would happily stay again. Tips on hydrating were great, none of us (1-60yrs) had any altitude issues.

Sandra and her family could not have been more accommodating and everything about the house was as good or better than what the listing showed. We would come back to Colorado and stay here again in a heartbeat!

Above it All—Breckenridge

A short family trip over July 4 weekend. Sandra was very flexible with working out dates. The house was perfect for a family vacation. The upstairs and down, with essentially 2 separate living areas was perfect for our family with 2 grandchildren. Loved this area of “Breckenridge” in a secluded and high elevation environment. (Being from Denver—no problem with the altitude). Great place and would do it again in the future.

Birthday Get away

My family and I had a great time kicking back and relaxing at this mountain retreat. The views are gorgeous, the space is ample, and well stocked as expected from the listing. Lots of toys for the kiddos to play with, and all the things we needed in the kitchen for each meal. The hot tub and back porch swing were the perfect place to relax and visit enjoying the crisp mountain air. Definitely, prepare for the high altitude as Sandra warns. We have lived in Denver for years and still noticed the increase in altitude.

Flying "C" house

This house is just as pictured! Plenty of room for multiple families or couples. Well stocked and prompt communication with owners. We enjoyed our stayed and the house had everything you could need! The only thing I would mention is that it is at a very high elevation so be prepared. It took us a couple of days to adjust and we had taken medication as a precaution. The owner does let you know up front about this so we were not surprised. That being said it was a good location close enough to town but far enough away for peace and quiet!

Lovely location about 25 min. Away from Breckenridge. Large home with plenty of space and amenities. Communication with owner was a plus to resolve issues and answer questions. Downstairs suite bedroom bed “Rock Hard”

Feb 2022 Ski Trip

Beautiful property high in the mountains. Had an awesome trip to Breck and the property was awesome overall. Pros: Close to Breck Hot tub Lots of space to spread out Fully stocked kitchen Communication from owner Cons: Cleaning was not great after prior guests. King bed downstairs was super firm Altitude (took a while for all to adjust) Overall my family had an awesome trip and would stay again if we go back to Breck.

Beautiful place

Everything about this experience was great. Sandra was amazing and super helpful with everything. The property was better than expected and had some pretty incredible views. There were a ton of toys, which made the stay with small children so much better and easier. The altitude did bother some of group the first day but it was fine after that. The windows let in a ton of heat during the day, so it took us by surprise. Definitely pack some short sleeve shirts if you're planning to hang around at home during the day. I would definitely stay again. Perhaps during the warmer months next time.

Great place!

The property itself was perfect for our family of seven (five children). It’s about a 20 minute drive into Breckenridge. Very clean, kitchen was fully stocked. However, just note that the property is above 11,000 feet altitude. So prepare to deal with altitude sickness if you aren’t careful. Otherwise, it was perfect and owners were very responsive.

Lovely Home in Serene Location

Our family enjoyed our stay at this cozy mountain home. Great layout with plenty of room to spread out. Huge dining room table made for lively dinners and game nights. Too many amenities to list—pantry with extra supplies in case of need, well-stocked kitchen, garage, sleds, wine chiller. Truly enjoyed the views and the hot tub at this serene location just a few minutes to Breckenridge.

Thanksgiving Family Gathering

The property was very comfortable and inviting. The kitchen was very nicely stocked. The bedrooms were very comfortable. We were a family of eight and the home was extra roomy for us all. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner, sledded in the neighborhood, went shopping in the town of Breckenridge and enjoyed playing board games. We had a fun weekend.

Beautiful home in the mountains

This home is wonderful and the property and surrounding area are gorgeous. Sitting in the hot tub while snow gently fell around us was such a nice experience. Great place! Just remember to acclimate to the altitude beforehand. We made the mistake of going straight from 1k to 11.5k feet and paid a price for a few days.

Great home for families

The property was in a great location and was fully stocked with games, toys, etc... for all our kids (ages 8-5)! Plenty of towels, loved the hot tub, loved the space for everyone to spread out, and loved the laundry facilities (can you tell a parent is writing this - LOL!). The DVD players downstairs didn't work properly, but other than that, everything was perfect! We loved the wildlife sightings too! It was a great stay at a reasonable price - we will definitely be back!
