What a wonderful place to stay! The home had everything you need, just bring your luggage and a few groceries and you’ve got your home away from home. We loved it because it was pet friendly, but it didn’t have a pet smell at all! Easy rental process and check out. We’re already making plans to visit again and stay at the same property.

We had a wonderful stay at this Colorado mountain home. The cabin had a warm, welcoming feel and was very cozy with a true mountain cabin vibe. It was well stocked with everything you need, and everything was clearly labeled, which made it easy to settle in. A few items were out, so we picked up dish sponges, pet cleaner, and kitchen trash bags and left them for future guests.The game room was a great bonus and added to the overall fun of the stay. Communication with the hosts was very convenient and easy through texting. We saw lots of wildlife during our visit, and the location is peaceful and tranquil — a perfect place to relax in the mountains. Cell service is spotty, and we didn’t get a solid signal until leaving the neighborhood, so it’s something to plan for.We’re excited to see what future updates they make to the property. A larger deck would be wonderful for summer, especially with a picnic table. During our stay, the snow on the deck was frozen and difficult to shovel, but we made it work for our dogs.The home was spacious, the beds were decent, and overall we were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning!

We could not be more pleased with our stay at the Breck House!! I was celebrating with friends my 70 birthday by hiking Quandary Peak. The home was perfect, near hike, accomodated 4 adults and our fur babies. Home had everything needed and MORE, every cabinet, drawer labeled, clean, size perfect, we were able to grill and eat in and enjoy the spaciousness & monsoon storms. We have rented many VRBO's over the years this is one of the best, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Get away to Breckenridge

We had a property in Summit Co when our daughter was growing up. We wanted our Grandson to have some of the same experiences such as Alpine slide, hiking (especially Lilly Pad Lake. Our niece joined us to also enjoy experiencesWonderful property well stocked. Grandson was disappointed the DVR did not work. We did use the coffee pot from the lower level since the one in the kitchen had no carafe. We appreciated the attention to our pups needs. Spent time on the front deck every night.

Family ski trip

Perfect house for our family to enjoy a week of skiing. Great location just a few minutes from the slopes. The house was warm and cozy, yet spacious enough for us to spread out and have our own space. The house was equipped with everything to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Amazing experience!

This home was the most organized and well maintained rental we have been to in 10 years of travel. It had very useful notes on where everything was located and how to use instructions throughout the house. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone traveling to the area!

Great large space. Lots of toys for young kids and stuff for the dogs. the house is in a lot more trees than the pictures. it has a great balvony for morning coffee and afternoon sun. we will be staying here again!!

The best one.

My family has been renting vacation homes up in Summit County for years. This log home in Breckenridge was by far the best experience. It is clean and well appointed for kitchen, laundry, outside activities, kid toys, dog supplies... you name it, they had it. And every cabinet and light switch was labeled for contents and for location of lighting, which was so helpful. I usually travel with my own cookware, towels, and cleaning supplies. With this home, none of that was needed. The drive into Breckenridge is short and easy. The walking and biking trails are easily accessed as well. The only suggestions that I have is to fix the alarm system for the septic - it kept going off. And, the deck railing needs to be brought up to code for dogs and toddlers. Also, the picture shows mowed landscaped yard and it was anything but that. There was no possible way to walk around on the property for all the weeds.

Great house, but issues with management

The house was great! Definitely a very good location. We did have issues with the check-in. The code that we received to get in the house was not correct. Then our cell phones did not have service to contact the company to get in the house, so we had to drive down the mountain until we had service to call. They did finally give us the code to the lockbox to get the key for the front door. The house was very nice, but not the cleanest. It had quite a bit of pet hair on the furniture and carpet. After leaving, we did find that we had left a few of our kids belongings , so I messaged the company to check for me. After accepting the charge for them to look, I was hoping for a response. It has been 2 weeks now with no response on whether or not someone had even checked for our belongings. Again, we enjoyed the house and it worked great for our family, but definitely some issues with the management team.

This is a GREAT rental!

This has been one of our favorite places to stay in CO. There is tons of room for everyone to hang out inside or outside, the kitchen is stocked and cabinets labeled to help find things. The appliances are nice, water pressure is great, garage parking is a nice plus that you don't normally get at rentals. Easy access to Breck, Quandary and other great hikes. Within an hour we went to Leadville to the west and Antero Reservoir to the south. We saw foxes, deer and had a moose visit! Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice cabin- listing not accurate in that bottom floor has king and bunk beds and top floor queen, king, bunk beds and a twin. 7 miles from town but good amount of traffic so took around 20 mins to travel. Tried to reach out for plowing after snow, was told plow would come but never did. Def need 4 wheel drive to get up road house is on. WiFi out for 3 days, again told we would get updates from management but no updates. House has everything you could need and more. Overall incredible place to be

I would not stay at this home in current condition.

In net, in the home's current condition, I would not advise anyone to rent at least not without understanding what you are really renting. The process to rent this home and get in was seamless and done entirely online. It was easy to locate and the property management company ensured we had current information to access the property. The property pictures in the VRBO listing are correct. The property is split into an upper and lower unit of which we rented in entirety. Both units have bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. Within 12 hours of arrival, the lower unit experienced plumbing in which we contacted the property management company and they indicated they would send a plumber. We didn't hear anything for about 5 hours in which we contacted the property management company again. At that point, they indicated that "the septic was not working and we should not use the lower half of the home". Apparently, the home sold in May of 2020 and upon inspection found that the septic was "broken" according to what was told to us by the company. What is concerning is that they knew this, knew the lower half shouldn't be rented, but rented it anyway. So we got 50% of the property but at 100% of the rent. The property manager further indicated that going forward, the new owners didn't look to rent the lower half. Not helping us considering we are in the home and there for 10 nights. Overall, when we reached out to the property management company, they were easily accessible, but not necessarily quick or complete to resolve problems. We indicated that there were broken closet doors (one just fell off and landed on the bed), broken heaters, and broken windows...they were to come out to review, but never showed up. We also indicated trash was never picked up...again, they said they would be out...never showed up. We were adamant to have the overall issue resolved through refunds given we paid for the home at 100% but only got to use 50%...it was never fully remediated given their "policies". Breckenridge is wonderful...this home is in close proximity without being right on top of the town. The kitchen is fairly well equipped. There is garage access. However, if you rent, check in on the plumbing situation and ensure this is resolved.

Overall great value

The few things that came up were handled quickly. Great location just outside of Breck. Furniture is dated and sinks too low for my taste. But beds are great. Love the elk in the family room. Dog had fun. Glad we brought our own Keurig with K-cups. Heating and plumbing all worked fine. Super fast Internet!

Family get away to Breckenridge

Home worked well for our family and our two family dogs. Cooked most meals at the house because of Covid. Hiking, horseback riding, biking and fishing all close to the home.

Comfortable house

Stayed 5 nights with family which included 8 adults and 2 children. Just could of used some more amenities. The house did not have any dish soap or sponges to wash the dishes by hand. The main kitchen only had 2 dish washer packets. Ran out of toilet paper and there was no Kleenex. We had to purchase all of these. Just be aware that if you are using the whole house. Guest staying in the downstairs bedrooms have to access either through the garage or go outside. There is a board sticking up on the side of the back deck which is kind of dangerous. My granddaughter almost trip over it Overall, the price is right for this area. The main room and dining room have plenty of space for gathering. We enjoyed our stay at this property.
