The RSPB sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs, is just 1.5 miles away, where you can take in super views across to Flamborough Head whilst spotting the many rare bird species safely nesting. Scattered across the East Yorkire Coast are many quaint villages with shops and inns in abundance. A 20-mile drive brings you to the North York Moors National Park, and the village of Goathland, better know as Aidensfield (Heartbeat’s very own village). Historic houses nearby include Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall. Bridlington with sandy beaches, fun fair and indoor swimming pool is 10-minute drive. Scarborough with theatres, restaurants, shops and sandy beaches is a 20-minute drive. Pony trekking and golf locally. Beach 2 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
