Cabin on the farm in Rockingham County

  • Come relax and enjoy this hidden getaway. Just under 400 total sq. ft. the bed and sitting area flows into the upgraded kitchen a bathroom with shower completes the inside. A covered shelter attached to the cabin offers a large fireplace ,picnic table and seating to enjoy the outdoors or use the fire pit and sit under the stars. We offer a 1600 ft. walking trail through our woods for exercise or to get you ready for the many hiking trails in the near by National Forrest. We are located about 10 minutes off Interstate 81 and 15 to 20 minutes from JMU and EMU . Breweries and Wineries are located all around us as well as caverns and other venues. There is a 40 dollar pet fee.

I loved the property. The cabin was on a farm and had lots of things to do like going hiking and building a fire. We will definitely be back.

Host is extremely friendly and very helpful, the cabin was perfect for my family and dog. We loved the fireplace and the walking trail. Perfect get away for couples and people with dogs!

I enjoyed my stay. The only noise was a few cows and birds. Great location off the road in a rural setting. Great place for a dog to run around. Dennis was an excellent host.

This was such a relaxing spot all to yourself behind some poultry sheds and a grazing pasture with cows (and a barn cat) at the treeline of a hill. Dennis is a kind, wonderful host and led the way to the property in person. Great view of a forested hill with sunset behind each evening, and the cabin is thoughtfully stocked, clean and cozy.

Dennis was very accommodating. The property was very clean and exactly as listed. We stayed here for our son’s college graduation so we weren’t at the property very much but there was firewood available to use in the fireplace and lots of outdoor seating. We will def be back again!

This place is such a hidden gem! The pictures do not do it adequate justice. We had a great time with our dogs, and the outdoor space is truly indispensable. We even had cows for neighbors at times, which was a treat, lol. Even though it rained a ton while we were there, the overhang outside meant we didn’t have to spend all of our time indoors. Dennis was a great host, and we enjoyed meeting him. Thank you for letting us use your space! We will be back again.

The cabin was great we really enjoyed our stay and Dennis was an amazing host, definitely thinking about going back sometime.

Our stay was wonderful. Dennis made sure we were set up for success by offering great food recommendations in town, showing us around the cabin, and being available whenever we needed anything. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We couldn’t recommend it enough.

Wonderful place to get away

We stayed the weekend and must say it was perfect... nicely tucked away from everyone and yet still close to downtown Harrisonburg. We enjoyed a quiet peaceful weekend and plan on going back next year for a longer stay
