My family and I have come to the Quichita National Forest on multiple occasions, and have stayed a different rentals each time. This one tops the list. Let’s start with the host. Jack was awesome. He was always available to chat through the VRBO app before and during our stay, to assist with any questions or concerns we had. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help was definitely felt and appreciated. The rental was deceptively large. When we first pulled up, it looked smaller than imagined, but once inside the space was large and cozy. The purpose of this family trip was to disconnect from the digital chaos and enjoy some actual family time together (which is pretty darn difficult with 2 teenagers). This cabin was exactly what we needed for this result. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary pots, pans, and utensils needed to cook pretty much everything we had on our menu for the week (I am pretty particular about some of my cookware, so I did bring my own frying pans ). The hot tub was spacious and perfect for those fun and awkward family conversations, not to mention, pretty darn easy to use. But the topper among all of these great things is the view. The name “Mount Maribel” is fitting. The view was amazing. Me and my wife spent 50% of the time on the deck looking over the forest. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who wants to get their own experience, but this will be a family getaway that we will remember forever.
