This place was a perfect get away. As pictured and I would recommend. Perfectly located on the river where you can fish as much as you want. Upon our arrival, the house that shares the deck was occupied & a lot of people were using it. That pretty much made it unsharable. You hate to intrude on a big crowd. Eventually they went up for dinner & my husband was able to throw a few lines in & scratch his itch. There are many things to do in the area if you feel like a 15-30 minute drive elsewhere. Things I wish I had known in more detail before we went. The kitchen is "stocked," but the few pans they do provide, are nonstick & very scratched up. I am cautious about my pans. When scratched they release toxins not good for your body. Most VBRO's I've stayed at, there has been a nice selection of spices. They had salt and pepper. I was so glad I had brought a few. Nothing was in the fridge. In my experience, a lot of time at least main condiments will be in the fridge. Again, glad I brought ketchup/mustard. I never found a pen for writing, glad we had one. Parchment paper but no foil/ziplocks. Water pressure would come & go at times, but we survived. It also isn't drinkable. It stunk too. Bring water! Glad we did! I wouldn't suggest using the charcoal grill. Even though we cleaned the grates, stuff still came off on our hamburgers. Use the propane. A lot better. Other kitchen supplies provided. Ask before you go if they have it. :-)
