We thoroughly enjoyed this retreat on the river. It was one of the most peaceful and refreshing getaways we've had in a long time.Between the cute and cozy small home atmosphere and very comfortable bed, serene river view, fabulous fire pit nights and relaxing hot tub soaks, it’s a place we’d return to in a heartbeat.

Get your check-in instructions prior to driving down into the holler, there is no service there and I had to walk up the road to get the check-in directions and was yelled at by a neighbor for walking along the road. It is a cute place with some issues, one of which was the hidden air fresheners that blow out chemical smells (I found them in the closets and removed them for my stay after hearing them squirt smells out all night the first night). Also, the cupboards smell strongly of rat pee (we used to have rats as pets, so I know that smell, these are not pet rats). Pests are going to happen so I understand, but the cupboards wreak of pee. The sliding door doesn't lock but there is a block in place and the 2 nights I was there it was quiet without any issues, felt safe. The hot tub is great but there was a film inside that felt like dead skin or something which was off-putting. I cleaned out the hot tub when I got there because it had pine needles and beetles floating in it and I was afraid to get charged extra in case someone thought it was me, so I spent time cleaning it out with provided net. The host area (garage) had lights left on, so I went out to see if I could shut them off, and the garage with all the stuff inside was open with all lights on, which freaked me out. I shut the lights off but didn't lock the door, and the next night, the lights were on again which told me someone was going in and out of there, I was uncomfortable with that also. The river is great.

We got in too late to use the hot tub, but the house was cozy, and warm. My only critique was that we noticed a bit of an unpleasant odor on the couch.

The location of this single wide mobile home was incredible; on the banks of the Winchuck River and a ten minute walk to the beach! We watched waterfowl, heard owls and saw a fox. However, the mobile home itself was worn out, and there was an overpowering smell of air freshener that no amount of fresh air could dissipate. We messaged the owner twice about animal noises coming from underneath the trailer.

10/10 recommend! The property is beautiful. The hot tub and fire pit next to the river are next level relaxation. I made a booking error but the host was kind and able to accommodate us for another night. I will absolutely be returning!

Cute and clean. Location can't be beat with a lazy river alongside. Hot jetted spa is great. A nice fire pit. The queen bed is quite good as well.

Our host was fantastic! Through my own lack of attentiveness, and not checking the reservation with my wife, I booked this home for the wrong week. Through many back and forth messages, and a couple of calls with VRBO, we were able to move our reservation forward a month. The host went way out of their way to make sure we were taken care of!The location was lovely and relaxing. The accommodations were as expected, pleasant and well kept.Thanks again for your extra extra effort in covering my scheduling mistake.Definitely recommended!!
