This family owned and run hotel is superb. The breakfast is beyond compare. It's like you're a guest in their lovely home, warm,ornate, and elegant.

I saw high reviews for the hotel and was surprised any hotel can have such consistent high reviews and I understand why. The owners and staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to answer any questions and meet customer expectation. We went with kids and it was very safe. The location is great and walkable to key places in Bruges. Highly recommended.

Really attractive hotel (loads of people taking photos of the building). Great location - 20min walk from the train station, 5mins from the main square. Friendly staff.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel on the end of a quiet street. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a nice sitting area to have a drink in besides a chic bar. They also have a nice outdoor patio area. There is a breakfast room but we don't typically eat breakfast so we didn't utilize it. The ensuite room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again!

Very nice rooms and beautiful bathrooms and finally a hotel room with extensive lighting ! Heated towel rack wonderful shower . Great location in very walkable city. Staff very helpful .

Cute boutique hotel in a great location. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is tastefully decorated and breakfast very good. I would say this is one of my favorite hotels that I have stayed at and would highly recommend!

A quaint boutique hotel close to shopping and activities in Bruges. Staff was super friendly and very efficient. Would stay here again and again if I can only get back to Bruges!

Elevator out of service for most of our stay. Bfast food not ready when scheduled. Bath/shower arrangement wholly unsafe, water sprayed everywhere, tub beyond unsafe and slippery, very dangerous.

I just returned from a trip with my daughter -- and we greatly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! It is charming and very comfortable. The location is perfect for walking about the area. We felt very safe and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. We would stay here again if we return to Brugge.

Like a room in Fairytale Land
This place was wonderful. The location was quiet and a short walk (5min) to the main square. The room was small but beautiful and eloquent. The shower was large and the water was HOT, great for winter travel. The front desk persons were all so nice, friendly and welcoming. The shampoo, conditioner and soap smelled so good, I took the extra hope so I can find the company. The bed was very very comfortable. I would stay here again if I do come back for a visit.

We absolutely loved our time at Hotel de Castillion. Every detail is thought of. The owners/staff are amazing, so helpful and really took care of us. The room was beautiful as are the grounds. Having breakfast in the cellar was such a fun experience. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne in the courtyard and it was like a fairytale.

The family that own this former bishop's residence have done an amazing job at decorating to a very high standard. The staff we met were either family members or friends of the family. Breakfast in the old cellar was excellent. The sitting room for tea in the afternoon and drinks at night was beautifully and comfortably done. The only thing I would change would be in the room we booked. The bathroom was spacious, but the bedroom (though beautifully decorated) was a little small. If we're ever back in Bruges, we'll book a larger room instead of their smallest, least expensive room.

Amazing Magical Hotel
We stayed for 2 nights in early December. The hotel is decorated beautifully and very well taken care of. The owners and staff are so kind and knowledgeable. The hotel is in an ideal location and perfect for walking around. Breakfast is tasty and has so many options. Very well worth it. Can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend.

Excellent location close to sights. The aircon could not quite keep up with the heatwave but overall the historic hotel is in excellent conduction. Enjoyed drinks from the bar after time spent exploring. The front desk staff was very helpful with restaurant reservations.

Fabulous hotel!
Beautiful hotel with friendly, helpful staff just a short walk from the station. In a lovely quiet street, yet so close to the centre. Our room was spacious with a huge comfortable bed. Loved the garden area for a drink at the end of the day with candles everywhere and blankets. The art deco room was also stunningly beautiful, a lovely place for afternoon tea or evening drinks. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Bruges.

Unbelievably amazing service. Without a doubt, some of the best service I have received. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, the breakfast in the morning had a wide variety of foods and was delicious. I would very highly recommend this hotel. Thank you again to James for making our stay exceptional and for going above and beyond for us. We will definitely be back to Bruges and would love to stay again!

A charming hotel located close to all the sights with its quaint streets, very walkable location. Our view was of a centuries-old Gothic cathedral. Run by a family. Only 20 guest rooms. Got great referrals to top restaurants. A low-key, delightful hotel. Highly recommend it.

We arrived on time for our 3pm check in but the receptionist took over 30 minutes to check the couple in front of us in. Such a slow laborious procedure. Wasting our time. We didn’t get to our room until 4pm as he took an excruciatingly long time to check us in. We had had a very long day of travel and just wanted to get to our room and relax. He didn’t listen to us when we kept saying, “No thank you, we are good”.But he would then proceed in talking and showing us things we didn’t either need to see or know While the rooms where lovely it’s a shame the staff weren’t. We specifically left the do not disturb sign on our door as we didn’t want anyone entering but the staff still proceeded in entering. We felt violated and extremely upset. The manager did nothing to appease the situation.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. However, we must correct given that you only had to wait 12 minutes. We are a small family run hotel and we like to take a moment for each guest if desired. As a result, you have communicated your dissatisfaction in a very aggressive manner and without any respect which has led us to the fact that no compensation was given. Kind regards

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I really enjoyed the courtyard/patio area. The bar was small but had a cozy feel. The breakfast basement was so beautiful too. The hotel staff are awesome and I’m definitely returning to Hotel de Castellion in the future. Ps. I booked my Brugge vacation because of the beautiful pictures online of Hotel de Castellion… in person was even more beautiful!
