“The check in alone should have been a red flag, it was an outdoor service window. The room itself was awful. It was small and cramped and freezing cold. The bed had two very flat pillows (thankfully we always bring our own from home). My fiance went to put his drinks in the refrigerator and couldn't even leave them in there because it was so dirty. “This motel was pretty much exactly what you'd expect from an old small town motel, as far as room amenities, etc. The room and bathroom were small but adequate. Everything was extremely clean, which is an absolute must for me. There are no frills but for a one night stay, that wasn't necessary. Our only real complaint was the bed was firm but not horrible and the pillows were flat (those were pretty horrible). The owner was extremely friendly and you could tell he cared for his guests. ”
