I paid over $200 a night and did not see the value.
Check-in & staff: First impression was poor. The front desk staff were dismissive and unhelpful, refusing to answer simple questions like whether parking was available or how much it cost. Instead, we were told to “ask outside.” When we asked where to pay, the answer was “with me,” but still no clarity about parking. We arrived at 2:45 pm and were told we could not check in until 3:00 pm. The agent refused to even take our passports or process the information, even though the room was clearly ready. Everything was about passing responsibility to someone else.
Room condition: Very old, poorly maintained, and not worth the price. The AC didn’t work—we had to call maintenance immediately. The phone never worked, and no one followed up after we reported it. The TV menu and QR codes for room service and property information didn’t work, leaving us with no access to basic services. Only 2 of the 4 elevators were working. The building feels like it’s falling apart.
Amenities: Towels were worn out, some with holes. Bathroom amenities were minimal: just one small bottle of shower gel for two people, no shower cap, no cotton swabs. For a property marketed as 5-star, this is unacceptable.
Positives: The bed was comfortable, clean, and the breakfast quality was very good.
Overall: For the price, the service, facilities, and maintenance fall far below expectations. Definitely not worth $200+ a night.
