Blue Ridge Home in Quiet Neighborhood Minutes to SVU, W&L, & VMI

  • In the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills you’ll find this cozy home minutes to SVU, VMI and W&L. Relax near the indoor fireplace, enjoy stories at the fire pit (firewood not provided), recline in the pergola swings, or curl up and enjoy your favorite movie on the oversized movie screen in the entertainment room. For the adventurer, enjoy a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway, or a hike into the Washington National Forest, or visiting the nearby Panther Falls.

    A few items to note: some of the pictures in the description are of the nearby sites and scenery, and not visible from the home. There are two step offs in the home. One from the living room into the entertainment room, and one from the living room into the kitchen. There are two mini split units for the home, but if doors are closed, heat or air have a hard time reaching those rooms. An extra fan and heater are in each bedroom closet to you cool off or warm up a little quicker if desired.

We met our son and his trail mates who are currently hiking the Appalachian trail. Spent the weekend relaxing and recharging. Everyone enjoyed the large screen tv.Place was clean and kitchen was great, appreciated how spacious the house was for the price.

I needed information on how to use the mini-splits. I tried to adjust the temperature but it went into another mode.The only other thing was the step down to the kitchen. I would forget it was there and hit the floor hard. It's a great home, everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Beds are comfortable and lots of blankets, if needed. It is close to a lot of hte hiking we wanted to do.

It was my first time using Vrbo with the property and everything went nice a nd smooth. We were just passing through but after staying i would definitely come back to this property to check out all the area has to offer. Things some people might not think of this property had. For example a fan in the closet, I have a hard time sleeping without one, and large size toiletries in the shower to use. Another thing that stood out to us was the bunk bed room for the kids. The cool bean bag chairs and the projector in there made for a good night sleep for them. No being scared of sleeping in a new place!

Long weekend visit

We enjoyed our recent stay! The owner was quick to respond to my question and the check-in process was a breeze. My young adult son loved the media room and appreciated the snacks. We would stay here again and have already recommended it to other family visiting the area this Fall.

A quaint little place

We stayed overnight on a road trip to break up the driving. Check in was straight forward. The house had everything we needed for the evening. Overall, a nice stay.

The home was in a great location and was immaculately clean and well stocked. The theater room with bunk beds was amazing, my kids loved it. Do note that the bedrooms are stocked with fans and space heaters but do not have HVAC or mini splits, so when the temperature plunged overnight my 9 month old woke up crying from cold and then when we tried to plug in the space heater, it blew the fuse. There is also an issue with the shower which allows no pressure. Overall for the price, we had a great stay, and a lot of thought was obviously put into this listing.

Kids loved the house!

My teens and younger kids loved the house. They took full advantage of the movie room (thank you for the snacks)! We all enjoyed the fire pit and relaxing chair swings.
