Christmas get away

Only had issues one day. And of course you can't control the weather. Make sure you ask about paying for the propane if you want the pool heated out side of summer days. It was a very nice get away for Christmas

Overall the stay was pleasant but we had trouble with water pressure and then no water for several hrs. The issue was resolved and an adjustment was made to our bill to our satisfaction

Nice home, needs some TLC

The management should pay attention to the small things. The TV's don't work. The sheets don't fit the beds. Extra blankets would have been nice. Needs a pantry. The home is beautiful.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always we appreciated the management & environment and atmosphere but very disappointed in our lodging—low water pressure and no hot water. So we will not be back for that particular property but I’m sure we will find another one! Log Country Cove is just very relaxing for our family and we enjoy our time together!

The versatility allowed us to spend time together at the cabin enjoying the pool, outdoor activitives and meals together. The commons was close enough to take a picnic over and spend time with all the amenities there. We spent time on the boat, in the lake, on the rope swing, and at the playgrounds--beautiful setting! The property delivered everything the description listed, and any questions were answered quickly! We are excited to make this our annual family vacation and can't wait to go back next year!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time here! We got married at Cedar Skies and stayed at Hero's Hideaway with our whole wedding party. It was the perfect location and the most fun time! The front desk manager did seem a little annoyed when we asked why the fridge wasn't working. Helpful tip: you have to pre-cool your product before placing it in the fridge! A sign on the fridge with that reminder may help future people from making the same mistake. The pull out couch was also broken, but we made do totally fine without it. We had some golf cart issues, but the maintenance staff was prompt in helping us out! We had a wonderful wedding and Hero's Hideaway was the perfect spot to celebrate with our crew! We would recommend Log Country Cove and Hero's Hideaway any day!

Great Potential for a Great Stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I am a regular at Log Country. Love the outdoors, the lake, the quiet. We highly recommend Log Country to our friends and tag many families to join us whenever we come here. This property is located in an awesome place with hot tub and swimming pool. Very private and feels like we were in some forest. The deck was awesome with tables to relax. The loft with bunk beds were a big hit for the kids.However some aspects of the property inside needs a changeover....Old property has character but this one was breaking down a little.1) Countertops were broken in many places2) Cooking utensils esp Teflon coated had scratches in them.3) No additional garbage bags4) Flooring needs a new Red coat5) Used coffee filters still in coffee pot6) Biggest flaw is No Internet :) I understand the aspect of getaway with no technology but in this digital world all my music is in Spotify and what's a vacation if we cant listen to good music.

Reviewer Comments: The property is in need of a make-over:Furniture is broken and unstable. Bar Stools and dining room chairs all need to be replaced. Some closets had missing rods and clothes could not be hung. Mattresses are past their prime. Carpets in upstairs bedroom should be removed, ironing board has no pad and was not usable. We had an unexpected visitors (bats) staying with us. Walls need a fresh coat of paint. Previous reviews report of A/C issue with upstairs unit and we experienced the same. Unit could use a second coffee pot since it sleeps 18 and one pot was not enough. Staff is friendly and responsive to needs but the condition of property for price paid is enough to not return.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is large and spacious,but it is showing signs minimal upkeep! All the furnishings are old and need updating. Several of the drains and toilets do not work well; especially upstairs. The deck has multiple screws that are not flush and can cause serious injuries. For the price, I expected better quality.

But that's the thing, for as nice as it was overall and as expensive as it was I wouldn't have expected some of the small issues we had like:- Rusted, broken and sharp dishwasher tray broken parts- Shower heads clogged and not working- Minor/inexpensive things falling apart in a very nice/expensive cabinOver all the host was very responsive and addressed our concerns and the stay was good.

You’ve got to stay here !!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rented out a cabin for 2 nights for a wedding. We had a total of 14 people staying and this cabin offered plenty of room for everyone. We all walked through the front door amazed by the cleanliness and layout of the house. The pool was definitely a needed amenity while being in Texas. This is definitely a cabin we plan to book again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked Heroe's Hideaway as one of 3 houses (within walking distance) for a Reunion of 60 people. All were immaculately clean - not even a spider web on the porches! Heroe's Hideaway was comfortable and fun, with a great kitchen and pool table in the living room. The ravine running beside the house was dry during our visit and provided fantastic boulder hopping walks and photo opportunities. The swimming pool offered welcome relief from the 100 degree heat. Along with the Common Area, near the lake, and all the fun activities, this place was a hit for all ages.
