“This cabin was all we expected it to be. The owners communicated every time we asked a question. It was clean and well supplied with basics. It fit out group of 8 adults and two young children perfectly. Half a mile from boat ramp and great Northern Pike fishing the whole week. Thanks for a great experience! Would definitely recommend!”

“Not only is this a spacious house but the yard is extremely large and the lake is directly across the street. This house could easily sleep 10 to 12 people as there is a convertible chair in the upstairs Big bedroom, a huge sectional and side chairs with ottoman. “The cabin was very nice and cozy. It was clean and the manager was very friendly. There was plenty of hot water and the view was great. There could have been more spots to hang clothes up in the bedroom. The bed was a queen size which was nice. The Wi-Fi was not good and with cell service being nonexistent it was basically a phone free weekend. I think the owner should invest in a Starlink internet system or something similar. If the Wi-Fi was fixed we would stay again. ”

“Beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake. Very peaceful, we had the luxury of having some Loons patrol the lake as well as two pairs of Swans. The fishing was fantastic for children. Mellen and the surrounding area are very beautiful. We went to Dusty’s Saloon when thirsty, had supper at Elkhorn Lodge in Clam Lake. Visited Corrigans lookout in Upson, hiked Cooper Falls but spent most of our time on the lake at the cabin. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the north woods.”

“We traveled from out of state to enjoy a wonderful week at the Frye's Modern Lake Home. We had 10 people stay there with plenty of room! We rented a boat and tied it to the amazing dock! The location of the house is great! It is near the end of the a really nice cove. “GPS directed us to the property. Convenient parking. Cabin is old, as described. Everything clean and in working condition. Way more space than we needed. We had the windows open for lake breezes during the day and kicked on the heat to take the chill out of the cabin in the morning. Kitchen was stocked for preparing meals. Groundskeepers are friendly and attentive. Waking to loon calls beats city noises! We will check here for availability in the future. ”
