I personally crafted this space to have a unique design inspired by the nature surrounding it. It was built using all natural materials and using traditional construction methods and ecologically sustainable techniques. This loft features the the beautiful wood of fallen trees as structural beams, and bamboo and straw thatches as roofing.

This Caribbean-style space is tucked away, providing a secluded and tranquil environment where you can feel safe and relaxed. Here, you can seek comfort in the lush jungle, yet remain within walking distance of the beach (just 200 meters from Cocles beach) and the many amenities (bars, restaurants, supermarkets, bike rentals, and more) found in town.

In the Jungle Loft, you can experience the abundance of nature that Costa Rica is so famous for; live amongst wildlife such as sloths, howler monkeys, turtles, tree frogs, iguanas, and toucans; wake up to the sweet sounds of hummingbirds and other tropical birdsong. Explore the dense foliage created by diverse jungle vegetation, and find a bountiful rainbow of tropical plants directly outside your window.

The Jungle Loft is a cozy but spacious environment, spanning three floors in height. It features one large bedroom with a king-size bed, one bathroom, and an indoor kitchen complete with up-to-date self-catering facilities (including a brand new refrigerator, open-flame stove, and intricate stone masonry).

Its open-air living area is designed to be a comfortable and sociable environment; furnished with couches, a hammock, and a dining table, the Jungle Loft is comfortable and airy. The open space enables you to relax amongst the colorful vegetation, yet remain covered and protected—should the tropical rains arrive.

We live nearby so we are around to assist you if necessary.

Here you'll find yourself in a very safe and friendly neighborhood. Fruit & veggie stands with cheap/fresh local produce (who also sell chilled young coconuts called "pipas") are close by. Almost all fruits and vegetables are organic and from local farms. Our entrance is easily accessible by car, bicycle, or by foot—but because we are located in a gated community, access is limited to residents only.

Here, you have the best of both worlds—you can enjoy the privacy and seclusion of Cocles, while still being just a short bike ride or walk from the bustling and vibrant center of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. Walk or bike from the Jungle Loft into town and find yourself immersed in the daily life of a truly diverse international scene, with bustling locals and travellers from all over the world. There are six world-class beaches along the few miles stretch.

We are well within walking distance of local supermarkets and just minutes from many cafes, bars, restaurants, fruit & vegetable stands, and Panadería Francés (a renown bakery minutes away). Bicycle rentals are also within walking distance, and parking is available on-site for guests with cars.

In the nearby town of Puerto Viejo, there are numerous shops, restaurants, bars, clubs, boutiques, and a beachfront strip filled with local artists and vendors selling handmade crafts and unique products.

The Jungle Loft is very close to amazing beaches, but still extremely private. We are in the heart of Cocles village, yet surrounded by a preserved tropical forest populated by rich wildlife (as well as the Jaguar Rescue Center, located nearby). All this—and more—makes for a unique combination.
Costa Rica's Caribbean coast is a special place, where warm seas meet tropical rainforests and wildlife is plentiful.

There are many activities within walking distance. Visit the Noa Beach Club at the Le Cameleon Boutique Hotel for a relaxing resort experience. For ocean lovers, you'll have easy access to surfing, snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, canoeing, boat touring, and diving. For hikers and nature lovers, head to one of our two closest national parks, waterfalls, botanical gardens, or eimply explore the rainforest.

Foodies will enjoy chocolate and/or coffee tours, while thrill-seekers should look into rafting or viewing the Costa Rican landscape from great heights on canopy tours. And, of course, all travellers should explore the town by foot, or rent a bicycle to cruise around. And after a day full of activities, you can just relax on the beach or retreat to your hammock—listening to the wildlife that surrounds you.
