Amazing place with stunning views.
Lovely boutique hotel on the shore of Loch Goil. Comfortable bed, nice bath and shower and AMAZING views from our room. What really makes this place so special are the owners - Billy and Liz (and their dog Watson). They are amazing hosts and lovely people. They really made our stay special. Thank you!!

Beautiful loch-side stay
We enjoyed our 2 night stay! Beautiful location and the view from the common area and restaurant was incredible. Breakfast was served as requested and was very tasty. Billy and Liz were very helpful and hospitable. Only downside to our stay was that the bed was quite small. Other than that the room had absolutely everything we needed, it was a nice and quiet sleep. Would stay again. We will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Our stay at The Shore House was very relaxing and comfortable. The weather was atrocious but this did not detract from the beautiful surroundings and as we were there for a complete chill out it didn’t matter at all. Our hosts, Liz and Billy were very welcoming and made sure we were well looked after. Will definitely return.

Truly exceptional!!
Truly amazing!! Even before we had arrived, the owner Billy had made contact with me to arrange dinner for both nights. The freshly prepared fish and chips was exceptional! The welcome was warm and friendly! Our room was beautiful, clean, comfortable and fully equipped! The view has to be seen to be believed and when accompanied with some locally brewed ales, it’s as close to perfection as you can get! Fantastic walks up through the Glens, where the scenery gets even better! Live music in the garden, fantastic beers and cocktails and a sighting of a huge whale within feet of the jetty! What more could you ask for!! Needless to say, we’ll be going back!! Huge thanks to Billy and Sam for all your hard work!

Pease and Tranquility
Stunning views, absolute best position on the loch. Billy and Lizzie have only been there since January but you would think they had been doing it for years. We will definitely be back.

Nice b&b in idyllic place!
Lovely B&B in stunning location. The view from their restaurant is amazing! The owners are really nice and helpful. Dinner is exceptional defo recommend to eat in. Homemade guiness steak pie and fish wow! Due to covid19 there wasn't buffet breakfast and was quite basic but ok. The little minus for our room we stayed in twin no 3 as no double were left. Next to our room there was a boiler which is very loud and its quite warm in the room while is operating, is running from early morning so no chance for a long sleep. Bed was ok.

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us and especially our home cooking. Sorry the boiler disturbed your lie in. It’s a quirk of the layout that the twin room is above the boiler room but when it switches on at 8am some people notice it more than others.

Perfect location, great views and great food.
Although we asked for a double bed, we were given a slightly poky room with two single beds. Apart from this, the stay was lovely. We ate in the dining room both nights, which was delicious, as was the breakfast. The view is incredible, looking out over a serene sea loch with mountains in the distance, with a roaring wood fire - perfect!

Thank you for your great review of the Shore House. I’m very sorry you did not get the room you expected but the twin room is what was booked through Expedia - we do not allocate the rooms when the reservation is made through booking sites. I’m glad you enjoyed everything else and hopefully you will revisit one day.

Perfect to unwind
Superb location and great welcome from Gillian. We had a small room at the rear of the accommodation. It was clean and perfectly adequate. The view from the lounge was unbelievable and because of this we would have liked a room on the front of the property but this was not available at the time. Breakfast was exceptional

Don’t miss this one.
One night stay to do work in the area. Beautiful part of Scotland. Lots of water activities, walking, cycling etc. 4 bed guesthouse with restaurant and bar. Husband and wife team. Excellent home cooked fresh ingredients. Rooms were large and comfortable.

Pleasant spot
We arrived earlier than expected, but were welcomed nonetheless. TV signal was not good which made it awkward for the Wi,bled on final and World Cup football. However the local pub was nearby and that works! We had a pleasant dinner and breakfast in the hotel and were content with both.

Great place to stay.
Lovely place to stay. Warm welcome. Our room had great view of the Loch and was very comfortable. Had a meal and the food was fantastic. Planning to stay again on our next trip.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorehouse. Our hosts were very welcoming and the setting was beautiful. The guest lounge looked out over the bay and was so relaxing after the stress of trying to get use to driving on the opposite side of the road from Canada. Mark cooked a delicious Mother"s Day supper for me. It was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend staying with Mark and Juliana

I stayed at the Shore House Guesthouse for a single night in May. The hotel is perfectly positioned on the Shore of Loch Goil. Arriving after a day of hiking, I was warmly welcomed by the owner Gillian who quickly checked me in and took me to my room which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There was food available (I actually went to the local pub about 5 minutes walk away) but I was able to have a chat with Mark (also the owner) with a couple of drinks. The cooked breakfast was delicious and set me up for another day of hiking. I highly recommend this guesthouse to stay for one or more nights.

Lovely stay
What a beautiful peaceful setting with a comfortable room overlooking the loch. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We look forward to a future stay.

Aconchegante e isolado, vista fenomenal
A guest house é realmente super gostosa, boa comida fresquinha, café da manhã ótimo, quartos aconchegantes, banheiro novinho, vista espetacular do lago! Únicas poucas reclamações: se adiante pois o jantar vai só ate as 7 da noite!!!!! A dona foi super simpática e nos ofereceu a oportunidade de jantar lá, mesmo sendo um pouco mais tarde, pois estava chovendo muito. Um outro detalhe que chega até a ser engraçado: a dona do hotel desliga o sinal de televisão. Sim!!!! Além de todos irem dormir cedíssimo (pois jantaram cedo), vc fica sem opção de ficar no lobby (pois ela fecha tudo) e sobre pro quarto. Ai fica sem opção pois ela desliga a TV!!!! kkkkkkkkk Outra complicação é a estradinha para chegar: perigosa, muito complicado pois tem pouca visibilidade sendo somente uma pista - sim, para os 2 sentidos! Vá se quiser se isolar. Pra isso é perfeito! A vista do lago é fenomenal!!!

Thank you very much for your five star review if the Shore House. I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and the food. However, I am sorry but you are mistaken about the TV - I certainly do not turn off the signal (I would have no idea how to do that!). When guests check in we always warn them that the tv signal here is very weak and sometimes there is no digital signal. We also tell people that we have an Internet tv in the bar and we can get most programmes on that if guests want to watch something. Also, our guests are very welcome to spend the evenings sitting on the comfy sofas in our lovely lochside lounge which is open with the bar until 11pm. I am sorry if you did not realise this was an option for you. I hope you might be able to visit Bonnie Scotland again and hopefully stay with us another time. Best wishes, Gillian
