Many prefer the loft to wake looking over an expansive ocean view, but it is similar to a boat berth. Kitchen, dining and living rooms all overlook the ocean and rocky tidepools.

Friends have said staying here is more like having the presidential suite on the bow of a ship, than being in a house rental. It is an updated craftsman cottage uniquely designed and built by famed architect Warren Leopold and recently designated as historically significant for California. Guests enjoy an amazing view on an ocean bluff, framed by large Monterey cypress on both sides, with rare private steps down to the rocky tide pools. Watch sunsets from the living room, the bluff top rockers, the hot tub, or on the bench on the seawall, or sit outside at night to see the Milky Way, stars and planets clearly.

Cozy gas fireplace to keep you comfortable during cooler evenings with ambiance. The bathroom includes hair dryer and a Toto bidet heated toilet. This beautiful cottage offers a relaxing atmosphere where you can unwind after a day of exploring, if you even choose to leave. Relax in the hot tub gazing at the ocean or light the firepit and sip a glass of wine.

Fiscalini Ranch offers miles of bluff and forest trails less than a 3-minute walk away. Whether you're here for a quiet getaway or a fun adventure, the amazing surroundings make every moment special. Perfect for a couple, or two close couples or small family, with two willing to step up to the loft bed perch.

Stay cozy inside or rock in the rockers watching otters, whales, dolphins and more. We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay. It is only offered a handful of weeks per year, as it is our primary home and we hate being away from it. We cook most all of our meals here because frankly, no restaurant for tens of miles has a comparable view, or sometimes we get take-out and come back. The kitchen is actually well equipped but European fridge/freezer, small dishwasher and four burner range and oven.

Fast wifi, connect to your phone for wifi calling unless you have Verizon, which does have signal here.

There are bigger houses a block or two off of the ocean, some across the street from the ocean on the Moonstone side, or motels across the street from sandy beaches, and many for less money, Be sure that is not what you want, because that is not this.
