Beautiful location

Great place!Only down sides were It’s on the third story of house with steep staircase. This was not mentioned in listing and was not disclosed to us till day of arrival. We had to change plans for visiting our older grandparents because the stairs were not safe for them. When I reached out to owner about our concerns there was no response. Communication with property manager was zero. I even tried messaging their private number that I found listed on vrbo with no response. Also, shower curtain was pretty moldy and couch covers seem to not fit the couches very well. Just sort of half thrown on.Other than that everything was lovely. Kitchen was stocked with the basics. Bathroom stocked as well. The view of the river made it all worth it for sure.

Spectacular View

This is an absolute beautiful spot on the river. Our 3 night stay was wonderful especially the bear watching as well as all the other birds and fish visible from your living room windows. The first day we had a mother bear and 3 cubs come down to the other side of the river to eat some salmon that were swimming in the water. The beds were very comfortable and it was really nice having a sink and toilet off of the master bedroom. This unit is on the top floor which was fine for us however anyone with mobility issues my have a struggle getting up the 2 flights of stairs. The only negative thing I could say would be the cooking utensil inventory could be increased, it could use a couple of nonstick fry pans with lids, cheese grater, better cutlery etc. It seems like maybe over time guests have removed or damaged items and just haven't been replaced. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again. It's close to everything and is still quiet and very relaxing.

Great spot for fishing lovers

This accommodation is an absolute gem for fishing and wildlife enthusiasts. The river is right nearby, offering excellent fishing opportunities, and we even had the chance to observe some black bears. The apartment turned out to be the third floor of a three-story house, which wasn't clear from the initial description. Despite the somewhat run-down appearance of the exterior, the apartment itself was quite sturdy and, most importantly, clean. However, the kitchen equipment was somewhat limited, especially in terms of forks and pots, considering the listing is designed for up to 6 people. All in all, we had a good time here.

Not clean!

Not clean! We love Campbell River and visit very often.This was our first time at this particular property. It was unclean. The coffee machine still had coffee in it from the last guests. We were not told that we had two flights of stairs to reach the accommodation. That was a difficulty for several of our family members. We tried to contact the owner regarding WIFI and got no response until the day we left. All in all, I would say this person needs a lesson in hosting a property. She is so busy giving descriptions of salmon in her advertisement that she forgets simple details about the quality of her apartment.To be fair, the beds were very comfortable.The location is beautiful. If you rent this accommodation, make sure to bring your cleaning supplies.

Dirty, noisy, and overpriced

Very disappointed with this VRBO. This accommodation was on the 3rd floor of a wood frame building, and very hot in the summer. We would have been happy to sleep with the windows open at night, if it weren’t for the fact a highway was 40 feet away, and very loud. The ad showed the beautiful river on the one side, but didn’t have any pictures of the highway on the other side…. The rental lacked many necessary things such as drapes/blinds in 2 out of 3 bedrooms- so when the sun was up, so were we! The beds were also uncomfortable, and for what the nightly rate was, it should have a larger bed then a double for the master bedroom. It didn’t have little items that you expect to be there when paying this much per night, such as a salt shaker, sugar, oil- etc. The accommodation wasn’t clean either- there were coffee grounds and cherry stems on the counter. It was obvious it wasn’t cleaned. The first time we used the oven, it smoked the place out it was so filthy and wasn’t fully functional (one of the large burners didn’t heat) We went outside to sit by the river, and the 2 wood chairs out there were so rotten you couldn't... It is obvious the owner is trying to make as much money as possible, without investing anything into it. We were looking forward to a relaxing trip here to recharge our batteries, and we left tired. We won’t be returning to this rental on our next trip to Campbell River, or recommending this place….

Needs some TLC

The property has a wonderful view but the neighboring properties are quite run down. The beds were very comfy. The cleaners need to do better. The cupboards and walls and floors need a deep clean. There was coffee and grounds still in the pot. The fridge was very dirty inside. Lots of dust, soap dispensers were empty, curtain rod in one bedroom hanging off the wall. Hardly any utensils for eating.

Close to town, nice views

We stayed here for 4 nights while working in town, the owner is friendly and very accommodating she let us check in early and out late. Which was so helpful! There is other suites within the home below this one, but was not an issue. Close to everything you need, lots of beds. Fit 4 men comfortably with enough privacy for everyone.
