This resort is a family friendly resort that seems to cater to French, Dutch, and German tourists.
Starting with the positives, the decor is well done. The lobby and common areas are well appointed. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Aurora in the restaurant in the morning deserves special recognition for her warmth and accommodating attitude. The massage with Michele was superb.
Now to the negatives which unfortunately outweigh the positives. We’ve traveled many places in Sicily and easily find good food. Unfortunately the food here is well below Sicilian standards. Breakfast never varied over our four night stay. No salumi selection (only turkey meat and Swiss cheese). For hot food only crepes or omelette with cheese (no additions). Coffee was instant, brewed coffee extra. There was a party every night with loud music, so much so we had to raise the volume of our TV. The parties ended at midnight. The safe in our room did not function but we decided not to request a repair.
It is billed as a four star resort but that is generous. If you’re a family looking for activities to occupy your children day and night then this might suit you just beware the food will not be at the level Sicilians are known for.
