Wow! This sweet barn was the PERFECT anniversary getaway for my husband and I. Every little detail was over the top and all the personal luxury touches was the icing on top. Lauren was the sweetest host and made sure we had everything we needed. We cannot wait to come back.

Right where you need to be!

This place was great! Beautiful lodgings and amenities with plenty to keep you occupied on the grounds or venture just down the road to any of the beautiful natural attractions in RRG. Stay in and watch Sasquatch files....sure! Nature is right outside the cabin and the bird watching is fantastic. The farm store ice cream was my favorite way to cap a long day of hiking and sight seeing. Book with confidence and don't sleep on the trails on the property, every photo in this review was taken onsite. I was not compensated or discounted for this review...this place is just that good.

Absolutely phenomenal and perfect!

This place was everything we could have dreamed of for our honeymoon. Not only did they leave some personal touches with a note specific to us, everything was absolutely perfect in this place. They even left us a taste of their honey, coffee, and some farm fresh eggs. We could not have asked for anything more. Absolutely gorgeous and easy to get to in the gorge and walking distance from some beautiful trails.

Wonderful Stay

Everything about this place is wonderful. The property itself is beautiful, with plenty of things to do right there. It is mostly secluded, yet it is with in moments of the best local interests of the area. The welcome is personal and inviting, and the hosts are HAPPY to respond and help in any way they can. It is GREAT for a couple's getaway, but it can be really good for a small family visiting the area to relax and have things to do in the evenings. Well worth the visit.

A slice of heaven

My husband chose “The Barn Owl” for our anniversary weekend, and we couldn’t have loved our stay more! Lauren went above and beyond with her communication and availability. Derek and Lauren have gone above and beyond in their dedication to making their guests feel comfortable and special. We are both animal lovers, and enjoyed meeting the farm dogs and other farm animals on the property! Red River Gorge hiking trails are about 10 minutes away, so the location is super convenient! We enjoyed some time around the fire and hot tub after a day of hiking! We truly had the best weekend, and would love to come back and be your guests again soon!

A truly remarkable place to stay

The house is exactly as described and pictured. It was very clean, even the hot tub was immaculate! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and so much hospitality! A hand written note, fresh eggs and coffee as a welcome was such a lovely start to our weekend! This property is so comforting and the owners are some of the nicest people we've ever met! We LOVED their farm animals and absolutely everything about this place and the Gorge. We will be back! You will NOT be disappointed if you choose to rent this gem of a getaway.

We stayed here to celebrate an anniversary and could not have asked for a nicer place. The hosts really know how to make you feel welcome and comfortable! This place has so many luxurious details and also tons of small details that make you appreciate the thought and time put in. The location is an added bonus!

Quick Trip

Just a short drive to Miguel’s, natural bridge & the general store, the Barn Owl at Red River Gorge is a MUST! We were welcomed with local coffee, farm fresh eggs and local honey really made our check-in extra special.
