Everything about this place is wonderful. The property itself is beautiful, with plenty of things to do right there. It is mostly secluded, yet it is with in moments of the best local interests of the area. The welcome is personal and inviting, and the hosts are HAPPY to respond and help in any way they can. It is GREAT for a couple's getaway, but it can be really good for a small family visiting the area to relax and have things to do in the evenings. Well worth the visit.

My husband chose “The Barn Owl” for our anniversary weekend, and we couldn’t have loved our stay more! Lauren went above and beyond with her communication and availability. Derek and Lauren have gone above and beyond in their dedication to making their guests feel comfortable and special. We are both animal lovers, and enjoyed meeting the farm dogs and other farm animals on the property! Red River Gorge hiking trails are about 10 minutes away, so the location is super convenient! We enjoyed some time around the fire and hot tub after a day of hiking! We truly had the best weekend, and would love to come back and be your guests again soon!

The house is exactly as described and pictured. It was very clean, even the hot tub was immaculate! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and so much hospitality! A hand written note, fresh eggs and coffee as a welcome was such a lovely start to our weekend! This property is so comforting and the owners are some of the nicest people we've ever met! We LOVED their farm animals and absolutely everything about this place and the Gorge. We will be back! You will NOT be disappointed if you choose to rent this gem of a getaway.

We stayed here to celebrate an anniversary and could not have asked for a nicer place. The hosts really know how to make you feel welcome and comfortable! This place has so many luxurious details and also tons of small details that make you appreciate the thought and time put in. The location is an added bonus!

Just a short drive to Miguel’s, natural bridge & the general store, the Barn Owl at Red River Gorge is a MUST! We were welcomed with local coffee, farm fresh eggs and local honey really made our check-in extra special.

The Barn Owl is absolutely beautiful. Location is so peaceful and relaxing. Lauren the host is so sweet. She really has thought of everything (decor/amenities)...you couldn't ask for anything more. Great hospitality!!! The dogs were an added bonus on our visit...they were the sweetest visitors 🐾 The spa shower was amazing. Highly recommend.😊

We enjoyed our time here! Beautiful setting! The barn/cabin felt very clean and beautifully designed and decorated accommodations. We appreciated the welcome note and snacks that were there when we arrived. Great communication about our reservations and we were checked on during our stay to make sure we had everything that we needed. We definitely would stay here again and highly recommend.

Overall short and sweet. The Barn owl is gorgeous! Cute little details throughout. Property is amazing. Amenities are spot on for a perfect stay, and hands down the host Lauren is awesome! Highly recommend !

My husband and I came down from Wisconsin for a week of bourbon and relaxing, the last leg was at this beautiful cabin to fully relax before heading back to reality and it was beyond perfect! The barn was even better than pictured, the property was a little slice of homestead heaven, and the host was so communicative and helpful. Can’t wait to come back

This property is absolutely gorgeous! The hosts were amazing and was so welcoming and made us feel right at home! So many extras are available to use they literally thought of everything. The recreation part of the barn was so unique and fun, our family loved the hot tub, hammock, and the Ale 8 stocked fridge! The bathroom felt like a spa experience! Amazingly soft towels and a multi shower head shower that left the entire family saying wow! Walking the property was fun and we loved seeing the farm animals. The location is close to Red River Gorge so we had tons of trails and experiences close by but we had the privacy of the location that wasn’t busy at all. We would stay here again for sure! Thanks to Lauren and family for a wonderful vacation experience!
