A great house for hosting big groups. Well stocked kitchen, clean rooms, and no lack of entertainment options. The perfect distance from Asheville to spend the day in town, but feel solitude when at the house.

The driveway to the property was the main problem. Other people have said it was steep, but that was highly understated. It is "extremely" steep, long and narrow. I have personally seen nothing like it. It would be, in my opinion, impossible to get up to the house with snow/ice on the ground.

House is incredible. Comfortably housed 14 guys for my buddies bachelor party. The accommodations were incredible and everyone was super happy. House management discloses this but just to reiterate - the driveway path up to the house is extremely steep and tough for most Ubers. We rented a bus and it did get up and down the hill but it is very steep and windy. Just be prepared. Other than that - once you get up the hill - everything is awesome.

Spring break relaxing

It is such a fun house. You do not need to go anywhere! Super private and peaceful.The view is amazing and if we ever an in the area would stay again! Owners are wonderful communicators.

Fun guys weekend

Amazing place that has everything. Julia (property manager) is great to work with if there is anything you need. Plenty of beds for the boys weekend. Grill, Game room(s), firepit(s) were utilized. The driveway is very steep and you will want 4 wheel drive in the winter months. But during spring, summer and fall, its not a problem. Highly recommended if you are visiting Asheville and need a large meeting place.

A Perfect Family Getaway – Highly Recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cardinal Ridge last week! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this home was designed with care and thoughtfulness. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated, with a perfect layout that offered something for everyone in our family.One of the things we loved most was how well the home catered to all ages. Whether it was the kids enjoying the cinema and game/arcade rooms or the adults relaxing in the fire pit areas, cozy living room, balcony, and outdoor spaces, there was never a moment when we felt crowded. It truly felt like there was a spot for everyone to unwind and enjoy themselves.The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals together, and the hot tub, game room, BBQ, and backyard fire pit area added extra fun to our stay. We also appreciated the little touches, like the welcome gift and the host’s thoughtful recommendations for local attractions, which made us feel right at home.Overall, our family had an amazing time, and we are already talking about when we can come back. If you’re looking for a beautiful, well-equipped home that offers plenty of activities and space for everyone, we highly recommend this property!

Great Thanksgiving

Great house. Comfy beds, nice linens. One of the cleanest VRBO houses we have stayed in. Only comment would be an extra fridge. We utilized all beds available in house and only one fridge was right. The house does offer 2 large coolers to try and help accommodate.

Perfect Mountain Retreat for a VERY Large Family!

We had an unforgettable stay at this incredible rental in the North Carolina mountains! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views — the property offers panoramic vistas of the mountains that are absolutely stunning, especially from the outdoor sitting area. We spent hours relaxing here, soaking in the views and enjoying the fresh mountain air. The home itself is spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The fully stocked kitchen made meal prep a breeze, and we loved cooking together and dining in the comfort of the home. The outdoor firepit area was another highlight — we gathered around at night enjoying the warmth and the clear mountain skies. One of the best features was the arcade and game rooms. Our family spent countless hours playing games and bonding — the kids (and adults!) were kept entertained for hours each day. The hot tub and sauna was also a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring and hiking (we also also went white water rafting and mountain biking). One thing to note: The driveway up is long, CRAZY steep, and a bit perilous...not for the faint hearted! We loved it, but it was the middle of summer. We would definitely not stay here in winter months! Outside of the driveway, this property truly has everything you could want for a mountain getaway. It’s peaceful, spacious, and filled with all the amenities you need for a memorable family vacation. We didn't want to leave!

Incredible Vacation Rental, Location, and Host

Everything as advertised, except better! Excellent location for a large family gathering or bachelor/eye party outside of Asheville, secluded property, gorgeous Mountain views. The host has thought of every detail, and it shows. Extremely responsive, communicative, and friendly host. We asked if there were coolers for a river trip and she thought this was a good idea and obtained two large coolers for us to use prior to our arrival. Hope to have a reason to come back!

Great house for a family!

We had ages 5-80 (16 of us!) and there was plenty of space for everyone and lots to do. We really enjoyed all of the games and the theater room. The beds and bedding were all very comfortable and nice quality. Same for towels. The only thing I would warn about is that the road up to the house is quite steep, narrow, and winding. 2 of us had sedans and were able to make it just fine but there is a part of the road that is unpaved and a bit difficult. Also, you would not want to drive on this road at night. Also, the house has a lot of stairs so someone who isn’t comfortable with that might want to stay somewhere else. There are stairs to get to pretty much every part of this house as it is on a hillside. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!!

This gorgeous home has been updated and it had everything your family may need! From the video games to the game room, theater and hot tub, to the many places to gather and kind sized beds in almost every room… there was something for everyone, from infant to senior!

Awesome house!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The house was immaculate! There is plenty of space and lots to entertain you! They have thought of everything that you would need. I definitely recommend this property for family’s and friend’s trips. I will note that if roads are wet or icy then getting there is quite difficult. There was eight of us, so we rented a van to get there. We arrived after dark and found the roads were hard to maneuver through in the dark. Not a lot of lighting and roads were narrow. (We almost fell off the mountain at one turn.) So the next day we ended up having to rent two jeeps and returning the van without any refund. This cost us over double for vehicle rental. It rained most of the time we were there and didn’t want to risk slipping down the mountain. This of course is not the fault of the property owner just should be noted that 4 wheel drive is definitely needed. Again, I would definitely recommend this property!!

Beautiful home, will exceed your expectations

We were so happy to stay at this beautiful location to rest and recharge while spending time with family. The pictures do not do it justice and we enjoyed our time here so much. We enjoyed touring the parks and sites, then returning to share a meal with family, hang by the fire and have competitions on the arcade games. Would love to return.

We had an incredible time at Cardinal Ridge! The biggest challenge we encountered is that we didn’t want to leave! We are a bunch of old folks and acted as if we were kids the whole time there. We loved ALL the entertainment options! And the house is so pretty and well decorated. Honestly, it’s perfect!
