Villa Tukad

Beautiful villa and grounds. Staff were wonderful and the epitome of Balinese kindness. The only drawback was occasional traffic noise.

Our new version of Utopia

We were fortunate to spend 5 days here, the accommodations were perfect and the separate casita allowed our party to be together but also feel like we had our own space. The pool is absolutely amazing and the perfect way to relax after all the sights and shopping Bali has to offer. Kiki- villa manager- went above and beyond in her service. Every request was eagerly met, response time very fast and she was extremely knowledgeable about everything island related. It was such a delight to see Komang each morning and enjoy her delicious breakfasts. She is truly a dedicated worker and such a sweet person. Desak was SO accommodating with meals and set a beautiful table to really compliment the amazing food. She was also patient enough to teach us different sambals and answer questions, a woman who truly enjoys what she does and it shows! The grounds staff were rarely seen but so efficient and thorough. The grounds are beautifully maintained so kudos to the ninjas of the villa! Budi, our driver AND friend, was just top notch! His warm personality and sense of humour were so appreciated and this man knows EVERYTHING!! His patience with the crazy traffic was incredible and he knows the best spots for shopping! We felt very safe with him and he always made sure, we were getting the most out of our short time on the island. What a true gem A huge thank you to a phenomenal staff, beautiful accommodations and a slice of heaven in a bustling city. 5 stars doesn’t seem enough

Dreamy Family Vacation in a Paradise Villa

As a family of two adults, two teenagers, and one child, we spent two unforgettable weeks in this beautiful villa. An idyllic, luxurious stay.

We had been trying to stay here since 2020 and we were so delighted to finally make it! Kiki and the team were simply awesome in looking after us. There were some roadworks nearby during our stay but Kiki went out of her way to help us to work around them even though it was not her fault. We take so many wonderful memories home with us: breakfast with a view, relaxing on the day bed, playing in the pool, massages in the Villa grounds as well as the times at the beach and Ubud. We loved staying in this villa and would wholeheartedly recommend if to you.

Magical fantasy villa

Actually, the villa was more beautiful then then the photos on the listing. The manager, Kiki, met us when we arrived with cool towels and refreshing drinks. That was the beginning of our luxurious stay. We had a lovely driver, Budi, at our disposal who took us to all the sights. The cooks made us wonderful food and the caretakers came daily to manage the property and the villa. The location is a bit out of the way, so a driver and the cooks were very necessary, but we loved ending our active days in this beautiful, luxurious, relaxing villa. As an added bonus we spent a day in Paul's cabin in the mountains. Yet another magical Shangri-la. Thank you Paul for sharing and everyone who made our stay a once in a lifetime event.

Wonderful villa and staff

We stayed at the villa for 2 weeks, having first seen it on VRBO a year ago. It really lived up to all our expectations. The gardens and pool were beautiful and we loved having our meals on the terrace overlooking them. The villa is extremely well run and all the staff were so helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Desak cooked us some excellent meals and all the portions were huge! Komang made our breakfasts and kept the villa neat and tidy and Pak Novi and Giman looked after the gardens,pool and security very efficiently. We had several day trips out with Budi driving us and he was so friendly, just leaving us to look at all the various places at our own speed.We would recommend this villa to anyone wanting to visit Bali and I've already had friends asking me for the details. Thank you to everyone at Villa Tukad. We had a great time ❤️

Wonderful Bali Vacation

Our stay at Villa Tukad was absolutely amazing. The villa itself is tranquil, comfortable and truly feels like home. I can’t say enough about the staff and how by the end of the vacation they felt like family. Every meal was delicious, the villa was cleaned daily, and someone was always available for anything we needed. Kiki even came to the rescue when my son was a little sick. Budi the driver took us everywhere! We saw so much of Bali and experienced so many things. Loved every moment! Definitely great suggestions from Budi and KiKi. I enjoyed the multiple massages in the villa as well. My husband and son enjoyed the tv room upstairs in the evenings. The villa is in a great location. We always felt safe and at home. I was able to walk to nearby coffee shop and nice beaches, restaurants and shops all within short drive. We ordered in one night and that worked well too. WiFi is great, the temperature in all the rooms was perfect, and the guest house was ideal for my 20 year old daughter. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!! We miss you all already.

Absolutely perfect getaway 10/10

There’s not much to say about our stay at Villa Tukad other than it was perfect. From the location, the house itself, the staff, the level of hospitality is what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. For a week, the property is big for 2 people but we enjoyed it and was well worth it. Would 10/10 recommend for couples and families. Desa and Komang, the food was absolutely delicious every single day and they were always so kind and accommodating. Budi, the BEST. He will take you literally anywhere you want to and knows his way around. We had a lot of fun traveling around Bali with Budi. The grounds staff does an amazing job up keeping the villa from the pool to the greenery to keep it looking beautiful. Thank you Kiki for providing us a with a trip we will never forget and we will definitely be booking Villa Tukad again.

Tropical bliss

Our stay at Villa Tukad was wonderful from start to finish. I can fault nothing. The description is going to be difficult as I don’t like to use too many superlatives but they will be necessary! The Villa is located in a peaceful village only 10 mins by taxi from Canggu and Pererenan. However it has everything you could want in a holiday home so there is little need to go anywhere unless you want to. Most of the staff have been working at the Villa for 15+ years and it shows (in a good way!) - the place is kept spotless by lovely Komang who also prepares breakfast every day and can organise laundry at a very reasonable cost. As a bonus, she was fabulous with my 2 young daughters who have told me every day since we left how much they miss her! Desak is the main chef who will prepare an amazing lunch or dinner for you (except on Saturdays which is her well deserved day off) - she has a menu to choose from with a mix of Western and Balinese dishes, everything delicious. Kiki the manager is very helpful and easily contactable during the stay. She helped us mainly with shopping and SIM card purchasing but can also help with organising a tour/driver etc. The infinity pool is one of the best I have had in a Villa. Tended to daily it was clean and so peaceful - only the lush gardens surrounding it to be seen! The abundance of daybeds is perfect for a book reader and all furniture inside and out comfortable and well maintained. Perfect holiday home! We will be back!

Amazing!

We stayed 9 great days at Villa Tukad. The staff goes the extra mile and beyond to make your stay an experience you will not forget. The cook makes wonderful dishes and the driver takes you anywhere you like. The rest of the staf sees to all the rest without you noticing them (de stille kracht). The beds are good and the porch really is the place to relax and take in the beautiful garden. The vila is located central near Ubud and Canggu Beach. Easy to explore the south part of Bali. The pool is nice to swim in and relax after a full day of exploring. The manager is keen on helping out and knows the right people and spots. Highly recommend 🙏

Oasis in Kuta

What a beautiful tranquil villa away from the tourists and traffic of downtown Kuta. Swimming in the pool surrounded by a beautifully kept rain forest, what a feeling. All the staff working there are very friendly and helpful and take care of everything. It's truly a place to relax and enjoy. Unfortunately our stay was cut short by Coronavirus and our government's strong recommendation that we return immediately to Canada. Paul, the owner immediately offered us a refund for the time we had to miss which offset the cost of the return airfare. We are eternally grateful to him for that kind offer. We can only say that when this disaster is over the good people of Bali will need a huge influx of tourists to get life back on track. Villa Tukad would be an excellent choice for anyone looking for that perfect vacation Francoise and Peter

A slice of paradise

From the moment we walked through the gates on New Year’s day we knew we had made the right decision and that Villa Tukad was indeed a special place. As we were welcomed through the villa and out on to the veranda, the view over the pool and gardens took our breath away and we were a little overcome with emotion of just how beautiful it was. The photos really don’t do this Villa justice. My husband and I spent 8 nights in the Villa with 3 older teenagers. The girls loved the guest house which gave them some privacy and their own space and all 3 enjoyed the huge selection of DVD’s and hanging out in the attic. We spent our time in the fabulous pool and gardens. This Villa truly feels like a home that is loved and cared for and it made our first holiday to Bali together very special. The beautiful gardens, amazing pool and home comforts allowed us to disconnect from our busy lives and created a tranquil environment to completely relax and unwind. The attention to detail in both the gardens and the villa is what makes this place so special and not “just another villa” somewhere in Bali. The staff were unbelievable, nothing was ever too much trouble and it was comforting to know they were around whenever we needed them. Beautiful warm happy people who make this villa a home. Desak’s cooking was just fabulous. We chose to enjoy a fantastic variety of Indonesian meals throughout our stay and then a stunning lobster meal on our last evening. Coming back to the villa in the afternoon after an outing of shopping or day spa’s (or both!!) to Desak’s welcoming smile and the beautiful aromas from the kitchen is one of many memories we will cherish. Komang’s breakfasts were a wonderful start to our days, and smiling Ketut was always on hand to look after anything we needed throughout day. Budi was a safe & reliable driver, ever patient with us needing to go to just one more shop. Kikki was just a text or call away, fixing any minor issues we had and organising massages at the villa. I was very hard to leave this slice of paradise and we can’t wait to get back one day.

Very quite villa with lush greenery. Pictures does not do enough justice. We have 6 people in our party. With additional detached guest room we had comfortable stay. Staff is great!!! Have enough time to count on traffic when you visit places in Bali.

Absolutely Fabulous...

If you’re looking for a 5 star Villa, this is it!! Stayed for 2 weeks with my niece who came from the UK and we loved everything about our stay...we found it hard to leave this beautiful villa as it was so relaxing and every comfort was at our fingertips. Having been in the hospitality industry for many years and having my own business I would rate the staff 10/10.. nothing was a problem, I forgot my iPhone charger and 20 minutes later Ketut had gone out and got one ! I locked my passport in the safe and couldn’t open it...panic! No problem. The only problem for us (short-term) was getting used to being thoroughly SPOILT! While you are here you must get Desak to cook for you! As good if not better than what you would get anywhere! Komang looks after you in the morning, coffee/breakfast etc what a dream... Ketut and Novi make you feel like royalty and having them close by is comforting.... It is away from the bustle but only a short drive away. Kiki the manager was only a text away and helped us with everything else, no matter how trivial, even ordering, taxis, drivers even our takeaway deliveries!! Look no further than this villa!!!

Magnifique villa

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la villa TUKAD... rien à redire! La villa est encore plus belle en vrai que sur les photos, le personnel est exceptionnel! Des félicitations à tout le personnel mais un spécial à Desak qui est une cuisinière hors pair!!! Budi, notre chauffeur pendant le séjour, était adorable! Merci à notre hote, Paul, qui répond toujours très rapidement et qui a la villa et le personnel pour vous combler! Nous recommandons vraiment cette adresse si vous souhaitez passer des vacances à Bali.

Eine wunderbare Zeit im Paradies

Auch zwei Wochen später denken wir mit Freude und Wehmut an unsere Zeit auf Bali und in der Villa Tukad zurück. Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit und haben jeden Tag genossen. Die Villa Tukad ist in dieser Zeit zu unserem Zuhause geworden. Sie ist ein wundervoller Ort der Ruhe und Entspannung. Wir haben uns wie inmitten des Dschungels und doch in der Zivilisation gefühlt. Umgeben von einer herrlichen Pflanzenwelt findet man in der Villa Tukad viele, kleine Orte, an denen man sich aufhalten und wohlfühlen kann. Alles ist wunderbar organisiert - die Mitarbeiter sind toll, freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir sprechen immer noch jeden Tag von Kiki, Komang, Ketut, Ami, Bella und Nia. Sie alle haben uns wunderbar betreut, uns geholfen, uns bestens bekocht, alles toll in Ordnung gehalten und auch unsere Kinder bespielt und bespaßt. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und hoffen sehr, dass wir ein weiteres Mal auf Bali und in der Villa Tukad zu Gast sein dürfen. Vielen, herzlichen Dank für alles - nicht zuletzt auch für die jederzeit schnelle, informative und verbindliche Kommunikation mit Paul und Rebecca. Danke für zwei wundervolle Monate im Paradies am Fluß.

Authentic Balinese Villa

Lovely Villa set in the more rural Canguu. Close to all things that are needed and not too far from Kuta and/or Denpasar. Villa is spacious and very well looked after. The staff really were amazing enabling us to relax and just take it easy. No request was a problem and all did it with a smile. Desak and Komang were both excellent at preparing meals and allowing us to relax. Kiki also was so helpful and professional as we had a few problems she did not need to help us with but did it with a smile. Thanks to all staff at Villa Tukad you made our holiday wonderful. Look after those cats!!!

Herrliche Ferienwoche

Wir haben eine herrliche Woche mit unseren drei Kindern, 24, 21 und 14 in der Villa Tukad verbracht. Nach einem herzlichen Empfang durch Kiki, die einfach alles für uns organisiert hat, fühlten wir uns gleich sehr wohl. Komang hat uns jeden Morgen unser Frühstück bereitet und Desak uns mit den leckersten indonesischen Spezialitäten verwöhnt. Sie hat für uns eingekauft und kocht wunderbar. Unser Sohn hat Ihr immer über die Schulter geschaut. Made hält das ganze Anwesen in Ordnung und die Bilder zeigen das ganze Haus mit großem tropischen Garten so wie es ist. Wenn wir Ausflüge gemacht haben, hat Kiki uns einen Fahrer organisiert. Wir hatten eine tolle Ferienwoche.
