“Very good for the price people very helpful and friendly ”

“I was disappointed to find that despite what it said on the Hotels site the Red Lion did not organise parking if you phoned. I had to park 5 minutes walk away and thankfully it was not raining too hard. With no food at the pub food choices were a little limited but luckily there is a very good take away pizza shop 50 metres away. The breakfast I had was very good so no problems with that.”

La puerta es fina, ni siquiera llega hasta el suelo, por lo que se oye a cualquiera que pase por el pasillo y la sensación es de inseguridad total. “We stayed in a family room for two nights and overall had a good stay. The room was comfortable with nice view, but housekeeping needs improvement. There were sweets left from the previous guest on arrival, the toilet had a bad smell with no refresher, and the toilet tissue was partially used and not properly replenished we ran out on the last day and eventually gave up calling reception. We also assumed housekeeping was daily, but it wasn’t, and we had to request service after running out of...

“We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended.”

“Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area. ”

“Properly was nice and central to the town. Activities in walking and driving distance. Only downside is they dont want dogs upstairs but do not provide a gate on the stairs. Having to make a makeshift block not easy.”

There were also dirty trays left in the oven and drawer. Rest of cottage was clean thankfully. However, frustrating as limited power points, and no shaver socket in bathroom for toothbrush.
