Casa Isabella is a recently renovated historic and elegant building, dating back to the 1800s and enhanced during the "Liberty era." It is located just a few meters from the train station and the walled city of Lucca. The building has only one floor; the rooms are spacious, very bright, and welcoming, with the romantic atmosphere of an authentic historic Tuscan residence.
The decor has been designed with great care and attention to detail, tastefully blending antique family heirlooms with a touch of modernity to create a contemporary and sophisticated atmosphere.
Casa Isabella is equipped with air conditioning in the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms; Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and you’ll also find a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and other small appliances. The house also features a spacious terrace where you can relax and enjoy pleasant meals outdoors.
If you’re arriving by train, you can reach our home in a 5-minute walk.
If you’re driving, you can pull up right in front of the house to load and unload your luggage for a short time.
There are some free parking options near the house.
Or you can easily find a spot at the public paid parking lot by the station. The Stazione parking lot, in Ricasoli Square, is about 100 meters (330 ft) from the house (a 3-minute walk).
Another interesting feature for nature lovers is that just a few steps from the house lies the historic Nottolini Aqueduct, dating back to the early 1800s and recently restored. It will delight you with its original charm and offers a wonderful alternative—rich in history and nature—to the historic center.

Layout:
The building opens onto a ground-floor lobby, from which stairs lead up to the apartment. Beyond the impressive entrance, you’ll find a living and dining area (seating up to 8 people). The TV is located in a second living room/study.
There are three bedrooms: one with two single beds and two master bedrooms, one of which has its own en-suite private bathroom. A key feature is the huge terrace that runs the entire length of the house, offering you a private outdoor space for relaxing or entertaining.

Casa Isabella is located on a quiet and elegant one-way street—
close to the ancient walls that surround the historic center, and a 10-minute walk from the cathedral and all the other points of interest that the city of Lucca has to offer. The train station is very close, so you can easily take a day trip to Florence one day, to Pisa another, to the Cinque Terre another, and so on, without needing to use a car.


Finally, I would like to conclude by encouraging tourists to choose Lucca as a vacation destination—not only because it is a beautiful city, rich in history, and home to medieval walls that are unique in the world for their grandeur and more, but also because of the city’s prime location for exploring other treasures of Tuscany.
Pisa is just 20 km away and Florence about 70 km (about 45 minutes by highway). Siena, San Gimignano, and Volterra are about 1 hour and 40 minutes away by car.
To get to the beautiful Cinque Terre, it’s only an hour’s drive or train ride.
Just a thirty-minute drive will take you to the coast—the stretch where the province of Lucca meets the Tyrrhenian Sea. This is undoubtedly a stunning coastal area, developed in the early 1900s and rich in Art Nouveau architecture. The beach is very wide, with fine sand that slopes gently into the sea.


Heading toward the mountainous region of Lucca, you’ll come across the famous villages of the Garfagnana, which are also very popular with visitors.
