The location of the home is beautiful. The home is beautiful. We did had some issues upon arrival, which were addressed with the property manager and remedied as best as they could be. Jeremy is a wonderful property manager who is available whenever you need him. It would have been nice for the items to have been addressed before we arrived, as it was Christmas time and we were having company.

Our family of 7 enjoyed stay here in Cape Coral. The house was plenty big for my husband and I as well as our three young children and their grandparents. We spent our Thanksgiving holiday swimming in the pool, lounging by the beach and fishing off the dock. The neighborhood was quiet and provided some holiday cheer as we walked in the evening looking at the Christmas lights. One of the highlights was the little burrowing owls all around the neighborhood! My kids loved counting how many they could spot each night. There was also a nice (new) park within a mile from the house.

The back screen sliding door in the kitchen and the front sitting room sliding door didn’t lock or secure. The vents were covered with dust. The blinds in the bedroom were broken.

Quiet respite from the cold

The lot size was quite large and provided a lot of privacy. Enjoyed watching the activity on the canal. Neighborhood was friendly, quiet, and very walkable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Stress Relief

Comforts of Home on Vacation!

Thankful to have found this property. The house is exactly as described with all the amenities ready to be enjoyed upon arrival. Our teenagers loved the kayaks, fishing poles, pool, fire pit and spacious dock. We are already looking to find open dates to return! Thank you for being great hosts:)

Our vacation home away from home

The house was beautiful and very spacious for our large family, plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The pool was wonderful. The yard is so large and right up against the canal. My son fished from the dock every day. We had some problems with the AC, the owner was easily contacted and had someone there to fix it the very next morning. Kudos!! We will definitely stay here when we find ourselves back in the Cape!

Decent - Pool is gross

My family and I stayed here for a week. The booking process was a breeze. The property is a bit dated, the pictures online are old. There is no office (which is shown on the listing) it is a bunk bed room. It is the loudest bunk bed, you touch it and you can hear it on the opposite side of the house. My kids tried to sleep in there, but the mattresses are rock solid. The pool is disgusting. There was dirt along the bottom and the sides are yellow. We had the pool light on at night, and noticed a ton of sediment floating. It looked like a cloud of dust in the water. We contacted the property manager the following day to have it cleaned, long story short he said the pool guy came out and was aggravated because there was nothing wrong with the pool. Needless to say, the adults didn’t get in the pool. My 11 & 9yo braved it out to their waists. The location is in a nice neighborhood. The view is great. However if you have a boat, be prepared for the 45 min (no wake) out to the bay. Little ones get antsy.

Our best vacation ever!!

My hunt for our vacation place had both my dog and my youngest wishes grandson in mind. My grandson wanted so bad to have a pool and my Labrador just wanted to tag along. I found this house and instantly fell in love with it. It had everybody’s wish list in mind. I wanted to be able to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation. This beautiful house is right on the canal so I was able to rent a boat for 4 days which was amazing. We were able to boat to several beaches and boat throughout the canals. My grandsons loved being able to fish off the dock and off the boat which they both loved. I was able to see dolphins and manatees. On this trip I was able to go to more islands than I have ever been to which was so much nicer than being at a hotel. The house was beautiful and amazing with everything you could possibly need plus more. The sunrises were beautiful and well worth getting up early for. Rick and his wive were great host. Answered so many questions for me. I highly recommend this home for your next vacation you will not regret it.

Love this house and the view!

We had a fabulous week at this lovely home. It is spacious with comfortable furnitue and room to spread out. However, we spent all of our time on the lanai enjoying the water view and the pool. We never even turned on a tv. So relaxing!! The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable! We rented a boat for 3 days and it was easy to dock at the house and so much fun driving through the canals and out to the river! It was great having a large yard to take the dogs out. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay. Accommodations and location were wonderful. We have been to Cape Coral several times and this was by far our best trip. We tried two new places Rumrunners and the Lobster lady. The kids fished from the dock at night and we loved the pool! Honestly hope to be back!

Inaccurate property description and mold issues

The property was not accurately described in the VRBO listing. There was an active leak under the sink which had been there for a while, as there was a significant amount of mold. The wash machine had mold in it, and the Teflon coated cookware was all scratched up. The hot pads were soiled, and some of the cookware even had food left on it. The spatula was flaking off plastic from where he previously burned. the couch depicted in the photographs on the listing is not the same couch that was in the living room. The refrigerator was also not the same listed. There were small bugs in the kitchen on the counters, as well as in the bedroom. There was garbage out in the pool area, and we had to have them come out and clean it up. In addition, there was leftover food from whoever was there last time Cheerios and chips, there was also a pile of worms in the corner. Outside leading down to the waterfront, the lights were knocked over and non-functional. The chairs shown in the picture down by the fire pit were not there. There was also a different grill than what was depicted in the original listing of lesser quality and cleanliness. The doorwall from the bedroom to the pool area was difficult to open, in fact, we never got to open. It had the maintenance guy check it and he couldn’t open it either.. I felt trapped once we got there as we were there over Easter, there was very limited availability elsewhere.. we would certainly never stay there again and not recommend it.

Fabulous Vacation

I am a bit of a neat freak and this place met my cleanliness expectations! It was plenty of room for two families of 4 to unwind and enjoy our vacation. Owners were very responsive, helpful and knowlagable about the area. We rented a boat for a few days and it was a great to be able to keep it at the house. Great communication on a short stay

We were please to find a rental at the last minute when another trip was cancelled. Rick was quick to respond and even had a cribbage board delivered when I asked if they had one! Unfortunately, our trip was cut short to return home to a medical issue. We wish we could have used the pool! The neighborhood has construction noises happening from continued hurricane rebuilding. We would only recommend some updating of both living room's furniture to make it more current and comfortable.

First time VRBOer-great vacation

When we arrived at the property, we were immediately pleased with how beautifully maintained the property was. After we unlocked the door and we entered the home, we were in awe. The pool was beautiful and so warm but refreshing. Then, there is the view of the canal--simply breathtaking! I was concerned there would be a lot of noise seeing as there were neighbors surrounding the home but I never heard a peep. I stand corrected--new years eve I was outside taking in all of the fireworks that were lighting up the sky and had to laugh at the "Swifty" party going on across the canal. It was hilarious! Thanks so much for sharing your property. I would not hesitate to book this property again if we are in the area.
