“La Plume was gorgeous-the best place that we stayed during our journey of the Garden Route. The suites were so nicely appointed and super spacious. The breakfast was delicious and we were disappointed that we missed dinner (it was only a 3-course meal). “Wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful food. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats with Theo and Grant. Our booked Meerkat experience was cancelled due to heavy rain but Theo offered to rearrange that for the following morning - and we are so glad not to have missed that! Unfortunately there is no air con and the heat at night made it very difficult to sleep at night.
The bedroom we had was small.
The other 2 larger bedrooms had sliding doors on to a balcony,which you could leave open at night for some air flow.
There are 4 bedrooms upstairs in total
1x double-1 x twin smaller rooms with little air flow.
2x larger rooms with sliding doors to balconies

Then we saw a beautiful historic house with a big old stoep; here we enjoyed 3 very comfortable rooms.
