Lovely house! The living room area is bigger than it looks in pictures. Kitchen was large, clean, and well-stocked. It was nice to be able to walk everywhere. Host offered helpful tips and suggestions for stay and was easy to contact.

Longfellow House was clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. The check in process was simple. The home is close to the beach and Washington St. It's a wonderful place for a family vacation.

This was the ideal house for us! Everything was perfect with this charming historic home. From the new kitchen to the gracious front porch with rocking chairs, the house couldn’t have been more perfect. Everyone was able to relax and greatly enjoy our time together. Thank you!!

Lovely vacation week

My family has been coming to Cape May for many decades and this was a perfect location and size for us. The first floor suite was perfect for those not wanting to use the stairs and the amenities were super. Being a veterinarian myself, I love that it is pet friendly as these rentals can be harder to find. The communication with and kindness of our host was top notch. We will definitely be returning!

Janet's 80th Birthday Celebration

For this occasion, we wanted a place where we could feel at home - definitely fit the bill. Plenty of 'family' space with individual bedrooms for privacy. Location was superb - quiet residential street, free street parking, close to the Mall and the beach. We really enjoyed our 'porch' time. Michael and Alix, the owners, were most responsive and beyond accommodating.

Beautiful home

We had an amazing time celebrating our bride to be with 14 girls! There was plenty of room for everyone, very comfortable. The location was perfect, walking distance to all the things we had planned. Seemed like a very safe area! The owners were very helpful and communicative. Would definitely recommend.

Family Gathering Place

Overall both the property manager(s) and the property were above expectations. Like any old home, there were a few minor issues and I told the property manager about it and they should be fixed for anyone else going to the home. However, the home provided the ideal location to walk to the beach and downtown. It provides enough bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and bathrooms to even handle our large group of 8 adults, one child, and a dog. There was plenty of amenities at the house to make it comfortable and Annie's room (the mother-in-law suite) was great for the oldest couple of our group. The Property manager, Michael, answered all my questions quickly and with great detail. He was very responsive and always wanted to make sure things were good with me and the family. Overall, the whole family had a great time at Cape May and this house provided us the perfect gathering spot. There were plenty of bedrooms to provide the needed alone time. Never an issue with not having enough bathrooms or hot water, and the downstairs handled our gathering needs with plenty of room and furniture to rest and talk. Again, I would recommend this property for the spacious home (very turn of the century elegant), the great property manager, and location, location, location.

Almost perfect!

The house is beautiful and very clean and well cared for. I think we were a little surprised by a few things. No extra toilet paper and no kitchen garbage bags, Just odd that we had to go out and buy trash bags and were told to take toilet paper from another bathroom. Maybe this is standard for these type of rentals but we had to make sure the dishwasher was emptied, no dishes left in the dishrack, ALL garbages emptied,and taken to the outdoor trash can, and make all the beds up leaving the used linens in bags on the first floor. We were told we could check out at 2:30 (11 of us) but that was changed to 1:30 the morning of checkout. Just seemed like a lot of work for a 3 day stay that was pretty costly. We loved the house…just thought these were a bit over the top expectations.

A great stay!

We had four generations under one roof! I was extremely impressed by the walk-ability of Cape May. Our stay at the Longfellow House was fantastic and our hosts made sure we were taken care of! Would happily recommend to everyone!

Beautiful antique house in historic Cape May.

Our family visits Cape May annually. This year our group was 9 adults and 4 children. The house was large enough to accommodate our group with bedrooms for everyone. The location is perfect between the walking mall and the beach. The deck where your group has room to eat and cook at the grill was perfect for us. Would stay here again. Lots of beach read books to choose from. Thanks Longfellow house!

Beautiful Historic Cape May Longfellow Home

What a beautiful home our family had the privilege of staying at this week. History abounds as you walk through the home decorated with generational family pictures that give you an idea of what life was like in Cape May many years ago. The home itself boasts the historic charm of Cape May with beautiful antiques and decor fitting for such a lovely home. The owners are very sweet people who are quick to respond to any questions or concerns you may have during your stay. We are definitely looking forward to another future summer getaway at Longfellow House!

Longfellow House is a gem

A 3 generation family vacation was made easy thanks to this spacious home. Well located near the beach, shopping, and other activities, everyone enjoed their stay. The back apartment worked well for my parents, who have difficulty with stairs. Excellent communication from the host every step of the way. Vrbo amenities list (hot tub!) may not match actual amenities so be sure to ask the host. Our expectations were exceeded.

Another Great Year

This our 3rd year at Longfellow House and it was, as always, a fantastic place to settle in for the weekend. The house is cozy and comfortable. The lovely weather made for some nice calm times on the porch and a good place to rest after all the shopping! Can’t wait til next year!

Christmas in Cape May

Our family had a wonderful long weekend in Cape May to bring in The Christmas season with the beautiful lights and parade. Multi family vacation

Great location and charming Cape May house. Michael was great to work with texting to let us know we could get in early and provided great suggestions on how to get the most out of our Cape May vacation. The house is fully stocked and full of history. Linen service was convenient and easy to use and house beach tags were greatly appreciated . A great stay !

Loved our stay!

This is a beautiful, historic home in Cape May. My family stayed for a week and loved every second. We had plenty of space for sleeping, eating, and hanging out. It was very helpful being in walking distance to the beach, shopping, Acme, and other activities. The owners were very friendly and easy to get in touch with. I would definitely suggest this property to others!

Another Great Stay

Longfellow continues to be a great home for our yearly Cape May weekend. The owners always go out of their way to make us welcome and comfy. The house is spacious inside and out. This year we had fantasy weather so after a stroll to the lighthouse (wear good shoes…I swear it doesn’t look 3 miles away) and lots and lots of shopping we chilled out on the porch before dinner on the deck. Thank you Mike and Alix. We can’t wait for next year!

Lovely Birthday Weekend Getaway

This was the first time staying at the Longfellow property. First, the location is AMAZING!! We also loved how the family showcased the house's history throughout - you can feel the love throughout. Michael and Alix were incredible and accommodating, making our stay seamless and relaxing.
